Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is by far the best place to stay down south. Very tranquil and relaxing. The new lovely owner Lyn is extremely accommodating and very helpful. The cottages and grounds are gorgeous you also get breakfast as an extra in your cottage.. The beds are very comfortable you won’t want to get out of them. The hot relaxing spa in the cottage is a must. My favorite thing in the cottage besides the spa would be the fire place so I recommend going in the cooler months. Again I highly recommended staying at jalbrook cottages best place down south you won’t want to leave.

We headed to Jalbrook for a girls weekend away - and the accommodation was sensational. The beds were oh so comfy, the pillows were light and fluffy (and I am fussy about my pillows), the bath robes were an added bonus (along with the hot tub) and the fire was already set for us to light when we arrived. The alpacas were very cute and we had some fairy wrens to visit too. The changing leaves on the trees made for many picturesque photos. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we wanted for a lovely, relaxing and easy weekend away. It's so beautifully quiet there.

This place is lovely but the be warned that the bird life is noisy ! The spa is nice but the Heater is loud in the middle of the night if you are a light sleeper earplugs would be a good idea and an eye mask if you are sensitive to sunlight as it gets quite bright by 6am!!

So beautiful and relaxing. Really a great place to stop and recharge yourself. The cottage is wonderful and clean. The bed was so comfy. It was a toss up between staying in the bed and sitting out in the peaceful surrounds! Staff are amazingly friendly. I am definitely coming back here.

A fantastic location for a mums or couples or families retreat. The accommodation and facilities are exceptional and Lyn is a generous and caring host. Yoga, massages, wood fired pizzas, hot tubs and alpacas on-site provide a unique experience for all guests. Balingup and the Bib track are just a short walk away to explore. Thoroughly recommended!

I’ve been to Jalbrook Estate twice now with a bunch of school mums and both times we have had an amazing time. The grounds are stunning, the cabins are gorgeous and well equipped. Spas are lovely and warm. Lots of cute shops and cafes in the vicinity. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks Lynne, we will definitely be back!

This is our 2nd time stay. Both in summer. First stayed Ibis now Corella. Both times awesome. What a beautiful property and so quiet. Love our private spa on deck set to our temp requested, thankyou. Really looking forward to a winter visit. Have enjoyed a few local wineries. Smallwater for a grazing board. Fantastic wine club. Love Coughlin estate their pies OMG pork and apple cider. The cider house in Bridgetown awesome too. Plenty to see on way back to Perth. Go via Ferguson Valley Gnomeville (free) it will genuinely surprise and delight, especially if you have children.

We had left our accomodation booking a bit late so cheaper options had gone but oh my, so glad we chose this place after tenting on the Bibbulmun! What a luxury! The cottages are set in beautiful gardens and the owners were friendly and helpful. It’s only a short walk into town but we were pretty tired when we arrived and, although this service isn’t always available depending on timing and how busy they are, the owner took us into town to buy supplies to cook our dinner . Enormously appreciated by two tired hikers! The cottage itself was beautifully appointed with a glass wall looking onto a lovely enclosed private garden. The spa was glorious for tired hiker bodies. Supplied in the cottage were eggs, bacon, pancake mix, jams, butter etc. We had bought steak and salad ingredients in Balingup so cooked it up on the barbecue on the verandah. We were also able to do our washing in a machine in the shed, and the owner brought us a drying rack so our clothes would dry in time. The cottage and gardens were beautiful both inside and out. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting a luxury break.
