Detailed Reviews
Absolutely loved our 4 night stay. Beautiful cottage, so comfortable, cozy and very clean it was spotless. Lila is a lovely host and the extra touches on arrival like homemade bread and marmalade, eggs, jug of milk and a vase of beautiful flowers made our stay that more memorable. Thank you Lila! Highly recommend a stay at Balinga for that country escape from suburbia in the most pretty cottage I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in.

We stayed in a cottage overnight and our daughter and her friend, on their Bibbulmun Track walk, stayed in an adjacent cottages. We were impressed with the comfortable and clean cottages in lovely lush settings, heated towel rails, fresh eggs and freshly-baked bread. Thank you, Lila, for a very comfortable stay.

Beautiful cottage with lots of special touches. Homemade bread (on a really hot day), fresh jam (suspect also homemade), fresh country eggs were all a welcome extra. Our sunset on the veranda was absolutely breathtaking. Peace and quiet, tranquility and just a slice of heaven. No air conditioning, or I would have rated it a 5.

The bread & fresh eggs were lovely for breakfast. We lit our little fire on arriving and the rooms were cosy & warm very quickly. Our bed was not comfortable . The toilet doors were the weirdest things I have seen , very heavy and awkward . Although the towels were warm from the heated towel rail, there was a hole in the one of them. The double bedroom had no side tables. Don't know if they were cleaned properly as we found an ashtray full to the brim of cigarette butts on the outside deck. The TV on top of the fridge was also strange to watch. The bathroom and living area had only net curtains, so didn't feel private at night. Road noise was quiet loud even with all windows and doors shut. We were asked to pay in cash on arrival and it was $10 more than quoted on the phone. So no we wont be going there again.

It was a very smooth and easy booking with Lila. On arrival our lovely two room private cabin had a freshly baked yummy loaf of bread waiting for us also milk, fresh eggs, butter, marmalade and plunger coffee which made for a great breakfast. I loved the heated towel rails, the big balcony overlooking the beautiful green hills towards town, the warm log fire and our comfy bed. Our puppy (5mths Schnoodle) loved her first holiday walking in the long grass meeting the horse and the ducks and getting lots of attention meeting humans at the Mushroom cafe as they walked past. It was a beautiful 10-15 minute walk into the town and tavern and if you walk home at night take a torch. The tavern food was good.

+1
We chose a place where we could take our 2 dogs.
The cottages were clean and well set up. Close to town but stringed by trees and land.
The owners were lovely and helpful. The dogs were allowed in the cottage and we had a fire to warm ourselves by. We were given good advice to visit the Golden Valley tree farm. Beautiful trees and great photo opportunity. Also dog friendly.
Home made bread and spreads supplied. A lovely touch.
The only downside was we didn't book for long enough. 2 nights was too short.
Relaxing, cosy and close to the village of Balingup.

Lovely time spent again relaxing on the verandah and in the cute rustic chalet. Central location and comfortable digs. Fresh bread and jam and a beautiful view - Lila is a wonderful host too, makes you feel at home.

The TV on top of the fridge was a bit odd. The web site states that breakfast is included in the room price but that means that they will supply you with bread, butter, jam and eggs for you to prepare your own which is a bit misleading. I didn't mind it though. There is no microwave. The traffic noise is quite loud and on-going due to the road at the bottom of the hill so whilst you look out at lovely surroundings you do so whilst listening to cars which is a shame.
The wood heater was fantastic, the bed very comfortable, the property was surrounded by trees, the service very friendly and I probably would go there again in spite of the traffic noise.

Booked 5 hours before arriving and had the fire lit and freshly baked bread/home made jam/ farm eggs waiting for us when we arrived. The cabin was amazing and clean, fire wood provided and all amenities stocked. Sharing the property with only one other chalet which is a good distance away, the feeling of isolation was great and the scenery was amazing - would definitely stay again. Couldn't have asked for a better host for a weekend away.

Lovely 2 bedroom cottages in Balingup. Beautifully clean and thoughtfully decorated. Very comfortable with a lovely tranquil view from the balcony. Freshly baked bread, eggs, milk, fruit, all appreciated. Welcomed our dog too. Would definitely stay here again.
