The house is clean with the beds and linen actually being the standout feature of the property. The outdoor area is nice for bigger groups renting the whole property. Guests have to park cars behind one another so if someone wants to go out another guest may have to move their car. There was no access to the three lock-up garages. The furniture is a dated mismatch that looks like it was purchased at a garage sale. The rooms are cluttered like a 1960's holiday home. The TV in my room was an old CRT model from the late 90's with a set top box that had every channel showing in a window format and subtitles we couldn't remove. The mini-fridge was loud and only two meters from the bed. To say I'm surprised by the four and five star reviews is an understatement. The peak period prices reflect demand but the property simply isn't worth the loading being charged. It's a large family home converted to maximise occupancy as a B&B style property but they haven't got it right. This is an honest review of Our Place Augusta, it's not sugar coated. I'm not saying don't stay there, it's clean, tidy and in a nice part of the world. To be clear I'm saying it's old, needs to be refurnished, and is overpriced. If you stay there with realistic expectations you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful place to stay - felt like relaxing at a family home - Sue is so friendly and full of local information and tips. We have loved both of our stays & will be back! Fantastic location - relaxing walk to river, beach & town. Nice just to wander up to grab a coffee, browse the local gift shop or enjoy the rivermouth views from the local hotel. Kids loved having a playground and bushwalking tracks less than 5min away plus all the fishing options! Huge selection of local beaches, if it is windy on one side of Augusta you can drive around the other side of the coast and find protected bays - Hamelin Bay is a favourite but there are some gorgeous secluded spots near the waterwheel and lighthouse that you often enjoy totally to yourself. Lots of fun exploring with the family and (carefully) climbing some of the beautiful rocks. Drive 30 mins and you in Margaret river, 60 mins Busselton/Dunsborough/Yallingup so there are no shortage of options if you are happy to go for a short drive. So much cooler than Perth in summer so you can spend so much more time outside with the kids. Can't wait to get away again soon.

This is a small B&B which is very conveniently located in Augusta. Your hostess is helpful and amenable. The house style is very much Aussie 80's, so not the most modern. However, you have pretty well all you need with a shared kitchen/lounge room. Bedroom window blinds need replacement and the room could do with a mirror and more hangars. Breakfast was DIY and rather poor with packet cereals and fruit "juice" that was basically cordial. Maybe the cooked breakfast is better. If you stay here, you should have a pleasant and memorable experience, but don't expect anything fancy.

I've stayed twice at "Our Place" in Augusta. The accommodation is just like having your own home because it has bedrooms, ensuite as well as separate bathroom, a kitchen, lounge, laundry and a delightful outdoor living area, all spotlessly clean. It is well located with walking access to the town centre, nearby Blackwood River estuary and surrounding bush land with walking tracks. It is ideal for a family, group of friends, or a single person. Sue, the proprietor is very friendly and looked after me as if I was one of her family.

Booked for two nights but stayed for five. Wonderful friendly service and homely feel to the place.Short walk to local pub and shops. Sue, the landlady, could not do more to make her guests more welcome and feel at home. EXCELLENT!
