Great park, small as far as Big 4s go but very friendly staff and the park is well set out. Does not have all the bells and whistles of a typical Big 4, it has a small pool, jumping pillow and a great camp kitchen and staff light a communal fire at night which is great. Very quite often 10pm which is great and they ensure it stays that way. Just a few minutes from town and lots of walking areas from the park into town and along the river. A great place to base yourself from, we came for just 4 nights and could have stayed 7 and visited all the towns around which are in easy drive anywhere between 40 minutes to 2 hrs away). Lots of green grass, laundry and amenities as well as ensuite sites as well. The ensuite themselves are ok, not as modern as others but good size, good hot water and clean as was the camp kitchen. Thank you and we will be back !…
We took our toddler camping for Easter and our family were treated absolutely amazing by the team at Big 4 in Forbes. The team were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were sparkling clean, the park was beautifully maintained and nice and quiet. We will definitely be staying there in any future travels through or to Forbes. What a wonderful town
Called in to stay a night ..my family who live close to Forbes were going to have a couple of hours visit ..I let the reception person know that this was happening and would it be ok if my grandchildren had a swim in pool and play on jumping castle ..only to be told a blunt NO ..I said I would be happy to pay and was told it doesn't work like that because it wasn't fair on other guests..the park was almost empty ..so I drove out ..very very disappointed..I thought big 4 was supposed to be a standard..very very tired park ..sorry guys been in hospitality most of my life .not good
We loved our stay thank you. Everything was clean. Great options for kids to do things. Lovely relaxing accommodation in a relaxing town. Just what we needed. The accommodation was everything we hoped for and more. Kids loved the jumping pillow, sand and chess board. The room was a great size. We felt safe and secure.
This park needs an update. Amenities block was small (even smaller with 1 toilet and 1 shower blocked off due to Covid restrictions). The lock on one of the ladies showers was broken and no attempt was made to fix it in the 3days I was there. No recycling bins evident although advertised. Much touted TV aerial connections weren't working well- most stations dropped out of an evening. The only good thing was that the park was very quiet and not crowded.
