Erika's welcome set the tone for our stay, and we relaxed for three days. Comfortable bed, cooking facilities (which we didn't use), a balcony from which to hear the local wildlife disporting itself and sharing its exuberance with us - this was a place to enjoy and imbibe. You have to be prepared to climb some fairly steep steps up to the chalets.

Booked the Chalet for two nights on our way to the Hunter Valley. We were surprised how lovely and quiet it was. The Chalets are beautiful, clean and cosy ,surrounded by fantastic gardens and a short walk to the village centre. It has everything you could ask for including your own private balcony with bbq overlooking the garden and bush. The Hotel in Bellingen has very good food and there is a lot of choice for other restaurants and plenty of nice little coffee shops serving breakfast if you don't want to make your own at the Chalet.
Our stay was very enjoyable and recommend it to anyone.

A beautiful place, serene and cosy. Somewhere to hide, retreat and switch off for a while. Thank you to Erika and Lionel for being so welcoming and accomodating our special needs.

Will be back!

There are 4 chalets, separated by garden, so visually private but you can hear your neighbors a little bit. We were lucky enough to have some teenagers who strummed their guitars...

You have to walk up stairs and a gravel path to the chalets, so wear your flats!

It's a pretty easy walk into town, which is great for eating dinner and having a few drinks!!

It was lovely sitting out on the deck and hearing the birds.

The actual accommodation is functional and clean, but not luxurious. The air conditioning was not sufficient to cool the small space, so in summer you really need to take your own fan (we did and we couldn't have slept without it).

The bed was really soft, which was fine for two nights but after the third I woke with a really bad back, neck and shoulder. Thankfully there are good masseuses in Bello!
