The location is great by the lake, but with steps down to the shore. Enjoyed canoes, at no cost. Rooms disappointing considering they were relatively expensive, light bulbs not working and no hair dryer. Restaurant not opened till gone 8 in the morning. Rooms, bedding etc very tired.

The Temagami Shores is about as good as it gets unless you want to stay at a water access resort on the lake. The Inn itself is a three star only because it looks like it has slipped from its former glory, flower gardens grown up with weeds, carpets need to be replaced, outside of buildings not swept down so...

My husband and I, along with another couple, all in our 60's, stayed in a cabin here for four nights. The accommodations were more "rustic" than we had expected: outdated furnishings circa 1970's; no AC; only place to put luggage is on the floor; pet odor; inconsistent water pressure, took twenty minutes to get the tub to fill seven inches;...

Superb setting on Lake Temagami. Great views and beautiful site overlooking Lake Temagami with outdoor deck facing the water. Staff was very friendly, both at the front desk and the restaurant. Generally a lack of restaurant options in the area, but restaurant at hotel was good food and nice outdoor space. Kids were at camp on Temagami and North Bay...

We were traveling from Hearst on our way to Prescott and had stopped at a visitor information centre midway to check for hotel accommodations, Temagami Shores was suggested as a quiet pretty spot and we were not disappointed. We had a very nice room overlooking the lake. There were two lawn chairs where we sat and enjoyed happy hour and...

We have stayed on 3 different occasions this year (January, March and May 2016) at this Inn and loved the secluded location (all while being just off Hwy 11) and the personal service. On all occasions we were greeted warmly and made to feel like valuable customers. The rooms are plain but clean; TV reception is excellent and internet is...

If you are used to the W Hotel in New York, you'll certainly not be raving about the rooms at the Temagami hotel. But, then again, you're in Northern Ontario, so you're supposed to be outside enjoying the wilderness! The rooms at the Temagami Shores Inn are "fine", and to be expected for an Inn in Northern Ontario - the...

The motel part of the Temagami Inn & Resort looks like any other motel until you go thru the front door. You discover there is a back door leading out to a balcony. This balcony is high up and you get a wonderful view of Temagami Lake. There are many trees to look thru, as well, but this adds to...

The economy in Temagami seems to be on the slide, as it is in so many northern Ontario towns, but the scenery remains magnificent and temagami is hard to beat. The best place to stay is the Temagami Shores Inn, with its pleasant site and setup that integrates well with the topography, suggesting that an architect must have been involved...
