Heaven on Earth. La Dolza is in the best location in Follina. A beautiful family ran ranch and farm. You can sip your cappuccino served with the fresh mill from the morning. Everything is home baked. Surronded with green mountains, looking over to the Castel Brando. Farm has dogs, ducks, horses, cows, bunnies, cats. The dogs are very friendly and sweet. This place is great for families as well as couples and weddings. There are so many things to write about La Dolza. We were so happy to pick this place. Also rooms are comfortable and spacious.

I booked this place as it only had 5 guest rooms so I assumed it would be fairly relaxing. We needed a few days to relax and chill before we headed home to our hectic lives. There are dogs that roam the property and they are friendly but if you’re not confident around dogs - this is not the place for you.
Positives : Room was large and exceptionally clean. Beds comfortable. Fridge in room. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Dinner and lunch is lovely and good prices. All meats are cooked over a bbq by the chef in the courtyard. Which was a lovely touch.
Negatives : Not enough sunbeds for hotel paying guests. They accept day trippers which made the pool area very busy and chaotic. One day there was a birthday boys party held at the pool (day trippers) which meant hotel guests had to sit on the floor! The boys took over the pool. Not relaxing at all. Another day a hen do (again, day trippers) Another day there was a christening! Huge family turned up.
Overall we had a nice stay but the pool situation is not good. Hotel paying guests should be guaranteed a sunbed. There were only 8 beds available in total. The pool isn’t huge and it becomes claustrophobic with all the day trippers.
Breakfast: not a huge amount of variety. Also flies were a problem! No food is covered 🤢
I feel this place could be amazing! They need to decide if they are catering for the hotel guests or the day trippers. I witnessed hotel guests and day trippers not very happy with the current set up.

Knowing the area and having purchased cheeses at the property's shop in the past, we booked three rooms with breakfast. Simply wonderful rooms and bathrooms, as well as the exquisite hospitality of the owners and the spectacular breakfast, full of products from the same company. Not to be missed for anyone passing through the prosecco area. Congratulations, we will be back soon

I stayed here for two weeks on business at Castelbrando.
The best points are: 1. The service-- the Curto family makes you feel at home in the agriturismo. They had breakfast ready for me daily, earlier than usual, since I had to be at the castle for business. They would help with any request I had and even drove me into the town (Follina) to get to the bank one day, since it was raining and the bank in Cison di Valmarino was closed. 2. Proximity to the castle-- it is a 10 min. walk to the funicular and about another 5 to get to the top, if the funicular is working (see below). 3. Authenticity-- the family serves wonderful, local culinary specialties and I felt like I really had an Italian experience. They humored me when I spoke to them in my poor, limited Italian, and they spoke Italian, English, and French. 4. The room-- Though basic, the room was perfect for my needs. It had a balcony with a view to the castle and mountains. The bathroom and shower were decent size. No telephone. The wifi access was a great plus! I stayed in a room with a loft above that had several beds, but since it was not high season yet, I got the whole room (upstairs and downstairs) to myself.
Things that could be improved: 1. It would have been great to have a coffee/tea pot in the room. 2. Alarm clock needed! 3. If you are planning to stay for business at the hotel, the funicular can sometimes be unreliable which caused me to be late to the castle on two occasions out of the two weeks (had to walk up the whole way which is about 45 minutes-1 hour from the agriturismo and it was hot!).
Would recommend this, especially for those looking for a unique Italian experience.

We gave La Dolza 5 stars not just for the environment, clean rooms, wonderful traditional (Venetian) food in generous quantities and an overall good feeling about this place. We were welcomed by the patrons, and that includes Rose the huge black dog, sweeter than a kitten. This is a full fledged farm with comfortable rooms, ample restaurant area, which serves also as a refuge for unwanted animals, including a tame pig, provides educational sessions and overall makes you feel sad to leave it behind. One must therefore return ................

Friendly and helpful staff. Great food and wine as expected from an Agriturismo venue. Own beef, Salami, bread, cheese etc served. Good selection of wine including own prosecco. Nice location below Castle Brando with short walk to the lift up to the castle which offers fantastic views over the local countryside. Alternative restaurants / pizzerias etc within short walk / drive. The room was basic but adequate. Bed rather large for the room making it difficult to access the balcony.
