We stayed across the street from the main hotel, in the annex building and downstairs. The windows on one side of our room were at tire level of the cars passing on the street making us feel like we were in a basement. The toiletries...More
We could not find a better located hotel and with reasonable views out the windows. Easy walking distance to anywhere in Saint-Emilion. Very comfortable room in a sympathetically renovated old building with stair and lift access. We will return.
Spectacular location in the heart of the old city. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was simple yet perfect with possibly the best and most fresh pastries. There is free hotel parking but you need the front desk clerk to show it to you on a map...More
Right in the center of the middle of the best parts of the ancient little village of Saint Emilion is this little hotel. Nothing fancy. Clean and simple. Probably a little overpriced; however, the location makes up for it. Nice breakfast in the morning included.
My husband at I stayed at the Auberge de la Commanderie and loved it! The location in St Emilion is perfect- close to the Tourist office. Convenient to restaurants, pharmacy, bank- everything you need.

Breakfast was very simple and did not offer much. Poached eggs, fruit, bread and cheese. It did not appear many of the restaurants offered breakfast from what I could see. You may want to check some of the other hotels to see what they offer if you are wanting something more substantial. We ate one breakfast at the hotel on the day we left. On the other a.m., we skipped breakfast opting for an early lunch.
