Spent four days at Inotawa Lodge and loved, loved the experience. Great guide (Arno) with lots of knowledge on both plants and wildlife, great program, food and very decent accommodations. Of course, the Lodge ist rather 'rustic' but offers a good quality in relation to the reasonable price.

The lodge is very authentic. We slept with the 3 of us in a bungalow. Basic but enough comfort. Don't expect hot showers.. The food was excellent and the local staff very friendly. Ramon, owner of the lodge, was with us and he inspired us with his passionate stories about the wildlife of the rainforrest. He should show to everybody...

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. Don't forget to bring cash in dollars if you haven't paid upfront - we struggled withdrawing dollars in the town. Our guide, Jorge, picked us up from the airport and travelled with us to the lodge. He was a very sweet guy and was very knowledgable. We enjoyed all the activities,...

We had been in the rainforest of other countries before and this was by far the worst experience. Awful guide (Adela) clearly unprepared to do her job properly. She even put us in danger in one of the excursions. Cleaning of rooms to be improved even considering that is a "rustic" lodge. The manager of the lodge was "missing" during...

Hello Salvador We regret that your visit was not perfect. We also assure you that all our guides are credited by the peruvian tourism ministry and are constantly trained and evaluated by us. Being set deep in the rainforest sometimes leafs or insects enter the lodge, especially after strong winds or heavy downpours. We hope that despite these inconveniences you...

I had the most amazing time in this lodge. It was so much more luxurious than expected, with incredible local food. We were a big group of 8 and had our own guide Klaus who was extremely helpful. We learnt lots about the Amazon on the various walks and river and lake trips to see all sorts of wildlife including...

We just spent a few days at the lodge in the middle of the Amazon, and I couldn't be more thrilled with our time there. The entire staff, and especially our guide Victor were incredibly nice and accommodating. We learned so much during our brief stay. The lodge itself couldn't have felt more a part of the jungle around us....

Hello StiTza Thank you for rating us! We try and accomodate for our guests dietary needs, usually they advise us in advance about preferences and/or allergies and we provide a special menu for them taking that into account, not too many alternatives around in the jungle ;-) When our guests are happy we are happy. We stayed here with 6 friends for 3 nights. We had a good stay here and a cool jungle experience! Unfortunately it rained one day constantly so we had to skip some activities. But the jungle trekking, the night walk, the fishing on piranhas and the tours on the boat were great and still offered us the chance to see...

Stayed here 3 nights. Activities included night Jungle hike, Tambopata National Preserve Parrot Clay Lick, Hike into a lake where we fished for Piranha. We were here in December (rainy season) luckily it did not rain while we were there, but the jungle floor was very muddy. Rubber boots were provided, but our own sneakers/hiking boots were less sweaty. Most...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
INOTAWA started its operations of eco- tourism in the Tambopata national reserve (RTAMB) in 1998 by visiting the sites that can be found at the margins of the Tambopata River. These are Tres Chimbadas Lake, the La Torre Lakes, Cocococha lake, La Torre parrot clay lick, Chuncho and Colorado clay licks and El Gato creek. In order to offer comfort to our guests during their visits we constructed inotawa lodge situated in the sector La Torre in the buffer zone of the Tambopata national reserve and surrounded by an area of private conservation (ACP) with pristine forest and natural bamboo patches that host a large variety of birds, mammals, insects and reptiles.Inotawa lodge is constructed with traditional materials of the Amazon. Palm leaf thatching, timber and bamboo maintain an architecture that blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature and the gardens full of medicinal and ornamental plants. The infrastructure consists of 16 rooms with private bathroom, a dining area, a bar, a hammock area, a web of trails, kayaks and bicycles. In short, everything necessary to offer safe, high quality service to our tourists with social and environmental responsibility.INOTAWA is a family business run by naturalists that also develop projects with the inhabitants of the "La Torre" sector. We think this to be the best manner to give a sustainable use to the area. ... more   less
