Simply a great experience staying in the Peruvian Amazon with amazing guides who made sure we had a great time experiencing the amazing wildlife. The guide (Rafael) made the trip for me! Although an there was trekking and trips on boats, there was relaxation time and opportunity to do your own thing (or get to have a few drinks with...

The lodges has no comfort at all. Either very hot, or very cold. No electricity, no hot water, no fans and so on. Nothing but mosqito net to prevent you from either cold wind or very hot weather. We only saw a few of the animals, that we expected, and from a far distance. We were suggested to walk 18...

Julio Cesar was an excellent guide! He was very patient with my nine year old son! I wasn't expecting hot water, so that was a great surprise. The food was incredible and everyone on staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, and the whole experience was a very positive one!

Wonderful experience, beautiful location, friendly staff, excellent guide (Julio) = great vacation. No electricity in the cabins - just candles, but adds to the ambience. Pathways lit by solar lighting at night till 10 p.m., a flashlight is helpful. Be prepared to share "everything." Cabin walls do not extend to ceilings so you can hear whatever is happening in the...

I really couldn't have been sadder when it came time to leave the lodge. I truly could live there for months on end and not think twice. My time in the Amazon really was amazing and extremely relaxing. The food was so fresh and delicious! Our guide Julio Cesar was absolutely perfect and more! He went above and beyond for...

The staff and service here was fine. The night trip along the Amazon was great. Our guide was excellent and he knew how to wake up the tarantulas...lol...Just poke sticks down what look like rabbit holes near large ant's nests. We were not far from the Coca trade. Peru is dangerous and now the largest producer. Madre De Dios is...

I took a 3D/4N tour with my mom Feb 23-26 2015 and loved every moment! Our guide Ronald was bilingual, extremely knowledgable, and enjoyable company for the trip. He even offered his help outside of the arranged walks/canoe trips when we saw wildlife around the lodge. The lodge had well-maintained trails, tidy and comfortable cabins, filling tasty food, a comfortable...

We LOVED our stay at Tambopato Eco Lodge. Everything was perfect. We had an amazing guide named Leow. The accommodations suited us well. We loved the mosquito nets and candle lighting in our free standing cabin. We did not share with strangers the front deck as we had two rooms. The food was good. I really enjoyed the boat ride...

From the outset this place is an adventure. If you're someone who needs air-con and fancy things, this isn't for you, however if you've an adventurous heart and are willing to trade electricity and creature comforts for being woken by an orchestra from the jungle then you're in the right place. Great guides, great food, hot, humid, jungle. Heaven for...
