If it's clear, the view is spectacular. Cotopaxi right at our door. We hired a guide from the hacienda, Marcial, who took us on a five hour hike, right out the back door. He was helpful and informative. Breathtaking mountain views. Wifi works intermittently, but never worked for us. The office staff kindly let us use their computer. Food was...

We stayed at El Porvenir over the Christmas holiday. The hacienda's location is glorious with exquisite views of volcanoes including Cotopaxi. Our room was a comfortable suite and we enjoyed the warmth of sunlight through the windows during the day and the warmth of the fire from the stove at night. Our only complaint is that there is no sound...

Hacienda El Porvenir's location is absolutely great, at the base of Cotopaxi, one of the worlds highest volcanos, and the highest active location in Ecuador. They organise all kinds of activities (on horseback, mountainbike, hikes, etc) that offer splendid views on the Cotopaxi and its wildlife (we saw wild horses and a condor). The hacienda staff is a bit clumsy:...

This review is overdue, but we had an amazing time at El Porvenier and Maria at Tierre de Volcan made it all possible. I contacted Maria several months earlier about the possibility of riding in their annual rodeo and she reached out to me when the dates were set. I actually changed my flights to Ecuador to make the rodeo....

We have just returned from a trip to Hacienda El Porvenir. It was really special and we highly recommend it. Thanks Roberto and your team – you made us feel like family. 1. Can we drive there ourselves? Yes you can, but the directions they provide are awful. After you have crossed the little bridge on the Cotopaxi road after...

Excellent setting in a beautiful landscape. Chilly nights under a roaring volcano, but the staff was so nice to preheat the beds for the guests. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Although Cotopaxi Parc wasn't accesible because of the active volcano, riding a horse was still a very nice experience at this high altitude, close to the volcano

We stayed for three nights at El Porvenir. What a lovely welcoming hacienda, very much a home away from home. Through El Porvenir we arranged for a local guide to take us for hiking tours during the day. We had lovely breakfasts , packed lunches and would return to a relaxing dinner. Our accommodations were very comfortable. We had a...

Haciënda Porvenir was the best place we visited in Ecuador. It's worth the price; a beautiful haciënda, great view and the most friendly staff we met in Ecuador. We had a great horse riding trip. The area is superb, nearby the Cotopaxi which you can see in a short walk. The food is very good.

My experience at Hacienda El Porvenir was more adventurous than I could have imagined. It was a great place to spend a birthday and business trip! Hiking up Cotopaxi and then mountain biking down was an exhilarating adrenaline rush like no other. Wow! The staff, food and accommodations were perfect. I would go back tomorrow if I could. The whole...

Well located hacienda with wonderful meals and attentive service. We had the pleasure to spend two wonderful nights there after exploring the Cotopaxi. We had a great relaxation day exploring the surrounding of the hacienda - they have their own trekking trails - very relaxing and enjoyable.
