The hostel is located just below Masada and adjacent to the Dead Sea. Very clean and tidy. The staff is amazing. The rooms are nice and sleep quality is not the best. The dining room is clean and tidy. A reasonable level of food. There is an outdoor pool. Reasonable prices....!!! In conclusion ... especially suitable for families. Not suitable...

My trip to Israel in Oct 2015 was my first experience with hostels. While there are a variety of types, Hi Masada Hostel was more like a luxury hotel than a hostel, yet the price was definitely hostel range. Located at the foot of Masada, this place is a welcome relief for a weary traveler. Bringing a group back in...

We stayed for one night in March 2016, with the intention of hiking up Masada to see the sunrise early the next morning. Although the hotel staff warned us when we checked-in that three school groups were also staying at the hotel that night, and put us in a different wing of the hotel, the noise was astounding. What was...

The best location!!! Rooms are big, clean and confortable. There´s nothing to do besides going up to the ruins and visiting the dead sea. So no need to stay more then one night. You´ll have to eat in the hostel, food is ok, it´s a buffet, simple but good food. Same thing for breakfast. If you´re planning to watch the...

HI Massada is a nice stone building in a beautiful landscape with amazing view over the Death Sea. The location is perfect for a hike or ride up to Massada. The rooms (double) are functionally furnished. Food is fresh and quite good (buffet). Value for money below-average: school kids making noise until late (bring earplugs), cleanliness insufficient, narrow beds.

Hostels are not on our list usually. We tried it once and said 'never again', but this one made us changing our minds regards hostels. We booked this hotel because of its location by the steps of Masada, very close to the Dead sea and exactly on our road from Jerusalem to Eilat. Location allows you to go up to...

We stayed here for three nights as our base to explore the region around the Dead sea, as it was one of the cheapest options, which still means about 100 euros per night. But hey, it's Israel, everything's expensive around here. The rooms are large and designed fro up to six people, so if you're a family of four, the...

I've stayed at the Masada Guest House numerous times and I would say it is by far one of the best deals in Israel. The facilities are super clean and modern, great Wifi, great beds, hot water and high pressure in the showers, and the most convenient location for climbing Masada to catch the sunrise. The Snake Path trail at...
