Well, what an experience. In the middle of nowhere is an understatement. But, that is it's charm. We stayed there on the evening of Ascension and basically France was closed. Jean Louis made many phone calls to find us a restaurant and we had a great one (see my separate review). Our room was more like a cottage. Three rooms....

We stayed here for one night on our way from the valley of Lot to Biarritz. The hosts, Christine and Jean Louis, are very open and friendly. We enjoyed a very warm welcome. As we arrived late (it was past 7pm and getting dark), we were wondering if we would be able to have dinner at all as the village...

Very welcoming hosts. Excellent room. Delicious breakfast, using home made and local produce. We stayed there last year and were delighted, and our second stay, this year, added to our total satisfaction.

The hosts are superb people. Helpful, friendly, kind. Wish we could have stayed in the area longer. Nice features of the place and the area include:rustic but creative interior decorating, fabulous mountains, beautiful horses, near the route of the Tour de France (2013), even an attractive line of apparel available.

We stumbled across this place by accident on trip advisor and decided to give it a try for one night. I only wish we had stayed longer! Wonderfully quiet and peaceful in the countryside. The hosts were stars - friendly, helpful, recommending a local restaurant, and so so. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful with home-made bread, jams, and their...

Very warm welcome, lovely breakfasts, very helpful. Charming suite of rooms. The area is very peaceful, fantastic mountains without the crowds the Alps attracts. The local towns, St Girons and St Lizier, were an unexpected delight. If I known how wonderful it was I would have stayed longer.

Excellent stay and hospitality, wonderful location in the countryside and gorgeous horses! I stayed in the main house - wonderful attic conversion with heaps of space and bathroom. The owners were happy to help out with suggestions of places to visit and eat. Would definitely recommend this little B&B.

We stayed at Haras Picard du Sant for 5 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. We had a two bedroom 'apartment', which was a nice surprise as we thought we had simply booked two bedrooms (one for us, one for our two children). Our apartment had two bathrooms, a very well stocked kitchen/dining area, a comfortable living area and...

An amazing place in the heart of French country side. I stayed here with my girlfriend and parents. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the mountains. The area was so quiet and if you are looking for a nice area to relax for a day or two this is it for the area. I would recommend a...
