2023 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I along with another couple spent 3 wonderful nights at Les Bruhasses. It is a beautiful B&B in the countryside outside of Condom. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the breakfasts delicious. Helene and her husband were gracious hosts who are very knowledgeable about the history of the area and gave us many great recommendations for sightseeing and nearby restaurants. Helene even helped us find a cooking class in Condom which was a highlight for us. We highly recommend this B&B if you are visiting the Condom area.

Property's Favourite Review
Les Bruhasses is my favorite place to stay in Southwest France (Gers, Occitane)! This is my 3rd time staying at this amazing, charming, quiet, & private B&B. Indeed, Hélène & Jean are the perfect hosts (please see my previous reviews) and I introduced friends & family. They deserve 6 stars! Hélène is a local native to the area. Each morning, she will gladly go over your interests. You are interested in visiting the local medieval sites? Hélène will provide background & directions. Where to get local, farm-made food and cheeses? Check. If Hélène is cooking, do not miss her fantastic food - most of the ingredients are from her own organic garden. Pair her food with the family's Château de Millet Armagnac - the fantastic spirit of the region. Fresh, homemade daily breakfast & jams (confitures). Try one of their two Guesthouses.

To get to this wonderful B&B, you drive off the highway onto a gravel road, past a couple of farm houses, then into a lovely, peaceful park. The strikingly beautiful main house appears before you, and you know you are somewhere special. Jean and Hèléne greet you warmly and you are led to either one of the beautifully appointed apartments near the main house for a self-catered stay, or one of the cozy, meticulously clean and well-kept rooms in the house for a B&B experience. Either way, Jean and Hèléne will provide you with all the information you need to explore the gorgeous countryside and fascinating small villages of the Gers, plus additional information about the area's many outstanding restaurants. We have never felt more welcome than we did in our visit to Les Bruhasses, and we look forward to returning.

To describe Les Bruhasses as a Bed and Breakfast is a gross understatement - it’s in a class of its own. The welcome is impeccably warm, the breakfast fresh and good, then Helene sets out to make sure that your day is full of rewarding activities. We toured the ancient towns and villages in the local countryside one day, then took a cooking class in the local capital , Auch, the next day. Les Bruhasses also has a library of books of local interest. The wine served is from the family vineyards, ditto the Armagnac. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are well equipped and the only sound in the morning is the birds singing. This is a wonderful place to relax or to use as a base to explore the Gers region.

Everything you could wish for and more!!! We did not stay in the house but rented a "gite" for a week. It is very well equipped, spacious, clean and with beautiful views from the terrace, on which you can eat. The owners Jean and Hélène could not be more charming, they are hospitality personified and Hélène's knowledge of the Gers is unmatched. The location is excellent for discovering the entire region.

Stayed here 2 nights primarily as a halfway point between other destinations. We knew little about the area and I could not find any current guidebooks for the region. Fortunately Helen, the owner/hostess was a fountain of information and provided us with maps and itinerary suggestions. We could easily spend 2 months here. Our room was spacious and bed was large and comfortable. I was a little worried about the lack of air conditioning because of the high daytime temperatures but it cooled off significantly at night and the main windows were screened so could be open at night. Guests had access to refrigerators and a microwave and there was a table available for picnic style lunch or dinner. Breakfast was great and evening aperitif was enjoyable. Would come back again.
