Great value for the money and good location. The facility are basic and clean. We had breakfast here and that was the same. If you looking for a hotel which offers value I would recommend this place. The bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade but again the shower was good. Dont plan a late night as you...

Le Commerce was a lovely hotel with a restaurant in its tree-shaded courtyard. We have a double room, with a window facing the church. The bathroom was the best in the whole trip. It was clean and looked like new. Only the air conditioning was not working very well. We could not change the temperature so we were a little...

Yes, the room was very small and had an unusual sliding door loo but that didn't really bother us as we booked it for the location. It's true that everything is a bit dated but it didn't detract from our stay. Being able to walk straight out into the centre of Mirepoix was brilliant. The courtyard restaurant food was as...

This quaint old fashioned family run hotel and restaurant in the centre of the beautiful Medieval town of Mirepoix is a must for any visitors to the area. This is not fine dining, but it is good, wholesome, down to earth traditional French cooking and cuisine, that you would hope to find and at affordable prices. Whether you are eating...

Good central location but the hotel is long past its prime. Bedrooms are tiny, small sagging mattresses and musty odours made one night here a hardship! On a positive note the garden is pleasant place for an aperitif. The breakfasts primarily consist of stale bread, tasteless coffee and yogurt

I quite liked this hotel. It's quite quaint and a nice old building. The rooms are a bit dated yes, but that's part of the charm. But if you like freedom or think you might get back late at night, it's probably not for you. For one thing, you have to hand in your key every time you go out...

I have been going to "le Commerce" since 1983 every year on our way to Spain. Yes, it is an old fashion hotel but I much rather have character and charm , than the non descript accommodation you can find in some "chain" hotels. The restaurant too is pretty good value. I shall be going again in 2 days time,...

I stayed here three times ten years ago, whilst buying a house in the town. The bedrooms are a little old fashioned, but we discovered a top floor room with ensuite shower which was pleasant and light. Half the price of a Carcassonne hotel where we stayed at about the same time. Since then we've eaten there regularly. Service is...

Unpretentious, but totally good, honest food. We were three friends, meeting for lunch, and were just too early in the season to eat 'au jardin'. No problem, indoors was just fine. We all decided to go for the 'menu du jour'. Starters of charcuterie/salads was tasty, wonderful rustic bread, replenished throughout the meal went well with the next course of...

We stayed here for two nights in later April, my last stay having been in 2006. The hotel is very comfortable, the food was really excellent and good value, and the owners were very charming and helpful. Will definitely go back.

“Our room was on the first floor overlooking the side road leading to the old cloistered Mirepoix square. It was a bit old fashioned, not bright and modern in any way, but comfortable and quiet and in keeping with the age of the building and, indeed, the town itself.”
