Lots to see here... highly recommend the boat tour... must have seen 50+ elephants, and even more hippos... crocs and birds in abundance.... Safari guide was not quite as good... apparently you need to pay extra to have a driver take you further into the bush to get closer to animals... otherwise you have to stick to the roads. We...

OVERALL GOOD - Service was very good, Rooms are good and neat, tidy and safe. Food severed was good and fresh. The location of the hotel is with beautiful surrounding and nice view from out side the hotel. One can see the elephants far away. The different types of birds can be seen in the dinning area.

After staying in tents, albeit luxury tents, and cottages it was a very welcome change to stay in a place that resembled a proper hotel (more aptly a motel since there were only blocks of one story rooms that opened directly on the parking lots). We were in a deluxe room (please see photos attached). It had excellent lighting and...

Beautiful report with excellent staff that were very courteous and helpful. We loved the layout of the report with view of Lake Edward and the Rwenzori Mountain range. Our room was perfect, overlooking the Kazigna Channel. Loved seeing the sunrise from our room. The meals were excellent, tasteful, always had good choices for my husband and myself.

We stopped at Mweya for Sunday lunch after an early morning game drive. There was a set menu costing 60,000 Ugx each. My wife had the whole tilapia (very good) whereas I have beef curry and the kids had spaghetti. The views made it for us. You look across the channel to see the buffalo down by the water and...

The view of the Kazinga channel from our safari tent was incredible. There were elephants drinking water at a distance and you can hear them trumpet. Our 4 year old loved sitting on the patio of our "tent" and the pool. Our family had a wonderful time and would visit again.

Sometimes I wonder if I've stayed at the same hotel as other reviewers.. I loved Mweya - from its magnificent reception area to its very comfortable rooms with stunning views and most of all its super-helpful people. No, it isn't new, but it's history is part of its charm, and it has comfortable beds, hot showers with enough water pressure...

Stayed here during our Ugandan adventure, booked a deluxe tent, it was INCREDIBLE, all luxuries included Inc fully working air con. Food was very nice (as we found in all our lodges), service from the staff was excellent, we did numerous game drives and saw a wide range of animals (though not a huge amount of each) also took in...

The lobby and general area of this hotel are pretty stunning with luxurious furniture and finishing, but the views are what really sets it apart! We had a deluxe room which was small(ish) but comfortable. We enjoyed the views from the restaurant and the food was pretty good. We only stayed one night on our drive from Kampala to Rwanda...
