This hotel was recommended to us by friends who had lived in Zanzibar for 2 years. Water front view, very close to everything in Stone Town, very friendly and helpful owner - Mr. Abubakr. Pleasant traditional Zanzibarian hotel with airy inviting rooms with classic Swahili style beds. Rooftop dining area provided good simple breakfasts and there are many good restaurants...

Me and 8 friends stayed two nights at Abuso Inn in Stown Town. It´s walking distance to restaurants and to the beach. The owner is very nice and I recommend you to stay there, its local and the rooms are good as well. Breakfast is included and served at the roof top bar. Enjoy your stay at Zanzibar!

Nice good, descent hotel with minimal .staff hospitality is excellent! The services we get is equal to the money we pay. A TV in the room would be an added advantage. Location is very nice ,in the centre and walking distance to many facilities and shopping areas including the famous Forodhani Garden and Museums. Breakfast at the roof top was excellent...

Compared to other hotels in Stonetown, a great value for your money. Beds were very comfortable, air con worked great, hot shower and a breakfast area on the roof deck with view of the harbor. Centrally located for shopping, access to ferry, beach, boats to Prison Island, etc.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, especially the manager. Rooms are nice, with a lot of air and light. The hotel has got a terrace for breakfast and it is in a perfect location to visit Stone Town. The rate was absolutely fair, I wouldn't have paid neither more or less. Perfect for couples.

A friend recommended this guest house as he lives on the mainland and always stays here when in Stone Town. The family are so hospitable, Hamid, the owner, says on arrival "this isn't a hotel, treat it as your home" and that's exactly what it felt like. The place is simple but the furnishings are really beautiful (mostly Zanzabarian and...

The staff was excellent, they were exceptionally friendly, had great suggestions for places to eat and things to do near the hotel. They managed to arrange transportation for us to and from the beach at Nungwi. The rooms are nice and clean, we had an ocean view and they have air conditioning. Breakfast is served on the roof in the...

The Abuso Inn is a lovely, reasonably priced hotel. Our room was spacious and had a view of the water. Our trash was taken daily and our beds were made. There was air conditioning and hot water. The bathroom was also nice. Breakfast was served on the roof, which provided us with an incredible view. The owners are lovely people...

We stayed at the Abuso Hotel in Stonetown four nights. There is an incredible view from the rooftop breakfast area of the ocean and harbor. The rooms were large, but a little tired. The owner Hamid is very knowledgeable and friendly. He plans to continue rennovating and painting the interior of the hotel. The internet connection was a problem, but...
