It's the small things that really make Easby Guesthouse really special! From the complimentary champagne for Valentine's Day to at the last minute allowing us to bring our Furbaby! Tish and Carlos have a superb offering at Easby. We had packed breakfasts each morning due to our early start which were delicious. The portions for Friday night braai pack were...

We were at Easby House the week -end of 18 October 2014. There are new owners now, everything was excellent from the accommodation to the food and of cause Tish and Carlos'es kindness and making us feel so much at home we thought we were at home. Their were nine of us, we went for the Berg & Bush cycle...

On arrival we were met by the owner who seemed confused that we were traveling with three teenage boys.We reassured her that them sharing wasn't a problem.Later we found that we were the only guests anyway. We were shown to our rooms and to where breakfast was to be served.Chairs were scattered all over the place and broken blinds on...

i will write my full review later BUT for now i would like to comment on E. Ross review, because my wife and I was there we beg to differ, every thing he (E. Ross) wrote in his review is the opposite to what we experienced I cannot believe that he can assosiate the history with the present. That what...

A warm welcome awaited us; the accommodation was comfortable, the food was very good and the hosts, Chris and Grietjie, were most hospitable and both of them enjoy spending time with the guests. . Chris is a most informative tour guide and Grietjie an accomplished cook.

Despite its great potential in terms of location and as a historically significant site, Easby was a huge disappointment. It didn't seem as if our hosts were prepared or interested in our stay. Some characteristics: - Our arrival seemed to have disturbed our hosts' evening and there was no sense of warmth, welcome or greeting, - The balcony to our...

I travelled alone to research my Great Uncle who had been killed during The Boer War. Chris and Grietjie were the perfect hosts. The accomodation was fantastic, traditional and in the most beautiful location and the welcome was superb. I was made to feel like a member of the family. We dined together to Grietjie's marvellous cooking and talked through...

I have stayed in my share of BnB's and hotels, but this was one of the best experiences ever for the following reasons. First, the rooms are clean and comfortable. My group of four stayed in four rooms, and each room was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the electric blankets ensured very good sleep. My room...

We had a wonderful stay with a lovely room, wonderful local food and excellent company. The bar was an unexpected treat. The location was peaceful and ideal for visits to the battlefields and Drakensberg mountains.

What an amazing experience. My wife & I have travelled throuout South Africa, staying at various venues, but to come across a gem such as Easby, is a great find. They may only have three star status, but deserve ten star status. Situated 18 kilometers from Begville, overlooking the Drakensburg. We have been to Easby over 10 times as we...
