We were 9 friends on our way to the top.Food was ok but we had to eat separated with those who didn't pay for the breakfast, some other crazy rules like "hut access only to customers".Hygiene not good

We were doing the 2-days trek to Toubkal, staying a night in the Refuge du Toubkal. Surprisingly, the lodge was clean, the rooms were nice. We had a huge dinner and was a bit surprised by the breakfast (as we were one of the earliest groups in the morning, we got really old bread and the later groups got fresh...

The refuge is clean and well managed but noisy and sometimes overcrowded. The food is quite good but the service (especially when you're moroccan) is very low. You can stop by if you're a pure hiker looking for a bed in a dormitory but don't forget your ear plugs if you don't want to hear snoring around you and pay...

The rooms are hot and with great humidity due to the great number of beds inside. But for one-two nights easily to deal with it. The food not too good. Plenty, but pasta, couscous and salads are not the proper food to give after great physical effort. If one manages to overlook the dirtiness the dominates Morroco like a laitmotif,...

Its been the second time I had been there in a matter of a few month. The main memory from last time was that my companion caught kitchen staff pissing into the wash basins (while toilets were 2m away). That was on the first weekend of December. This time, they opened two of dry bags i left behind when I...

I don't expect luxury from mountain refuges so I was satisfied. It was quite cold inside but warmer than in guesthouse in Imlil, where I was also staying. However lack of hot water in the refuge was a bit troublesome. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they serve good food. Hot tea just after we came after few...

I hiked mount toubkal with my friends in October this year and it was spectacular! The Refuge has amazing staff members who took care of us every step of the way. I booked our stay through Hamid (great guy). Everything was affordable and they gave us free blankets to keep warm. We chose not to hire a guide but we...

The Refuge is situated in an ideal location at the base of the mountains. The food provided is excellent as are the showers (hot and cold water) and wash room facilities. Be prepared to be cold but the refuge does warm-up when the stoves are lit. There is an excellent boot room, which although not secure, provides plenty of storage...

There are two refuges here. We were in the upper one. Apart from the place makes you feel like you have been captured and are a prisoner of war due to the walls around it, don't go there. The place is absolutely filthy. We were doing trek 3 summits over the 3 days. Only one toilet working properly, no hot...

Located in the mountain of toukbal, this refuge was like a traditional youth hostel it had basic showers and disgusting public toilets. The rooms were beyond freezing in the nights and there was damp on the ceiling. On the plus side the views were brilliant and at least we had a bed to sleep in for the night.
