We stayed at the JW Marriott in Mauritius for 12 days. The staff were all very accommodating, supportive and always so friendly. All our wishes were taken care of immediatly. A big THANK YOU goes to our friendly butler, Archie. Not only made he that we always felt like home but also did he read all our wishes directly from our lips. We also had a great time on the beach and were well taken care of by everyone working at the beach and specially by the very kind (and good-looking) men named Arnaud, Noor and Vimal. Ask for them on your next visit, they will make your stay even more perfect! we can only recommend the hotel and will come back for sure !
My husband and I stayed here for a week and we would have stayed forever. Exceptional service including wonderful recognition of our anniversary. Staff was helpful and easy to approach but not invasive or overly attentive. We had a ocean front villa and it was heaven, great amenities and first class spa. Room spacious and well appointed. Highly recommend on site restaurants (we even got recipes from the chef!). Concierge was wonderful too and assisted us with a scooter rental to explore the island. Will definitely come back!
AMAZING resort with incredible staff!! Everyone is beyond friendly, helpful and truly 5* service!! The property is stunning and food is amazing!! Our butler, Kanen, is absolutely amazing. So attentive, helpful and accommodating! He has made our first trip to Mauritius (and our honeymoon!!!) better than we could’ve ever expected!!! So many special touches and surprises like a rose petal bath and champagne!! Can’t recommend the property enough and if you can ask for Kanen, your stay will be perfect!!!!
The experience here was amazing. Every meal was top rated and hard to decide a favorite and the service itself was incredible. Kanen was our butler and he was attentive, thoughtful and extremely kind. It made our stay relaxing and luxurious over all! Perfect for a honeymoon or any trip at all! Thank you all for everything!!
We are back in the dreary UK after a fabulous 12 night stay at the JW Marriott resort. Easily the best holiday we have ever had (apart from camping on the NC500). From the moment we arrived we where made to feel special, I think we where the 3rd or 4th guest arrivals after a long closure for lockdown and you could see the happiness in the staff. I'm sure everything has possibly been said about the views and the scenery and beaches in Mauritius but the biggest selling point of the Hotel has to be the staff. Everything you could possibly think of was done for you, this was a holiday of pure relaxation and being made to feel special. Our Butler (yes...we where shocked) Pushpanjali did everything to make sure our stay went without a hitch going above and beyond in my opinion - we are very easy going and uncomfortable with ceremony , but it wasn't over the top. Even though the Indian restaurant was closed throughout our stay (more on that later) she approached the chef who came up with a tasting menu of Indian food which was totally unexpected. The beach area was perfect with really comfortable loungers on the beach overlooking the crystal clear lagoon, the beach boys especially Akshay and Rikish where just amazing, they didn't even like you moving your own sunbed or putting your towel down...always around for drinks and food and to discuss the weather (which was slightly disappointing during our stay - but no one can control that!) or the football - pity Akshay was a Chelsea supporter. The hotel grounds where absolutely beautiful and so well maintained, and that is another thing about the staff - EVERYONE says hello, Good Morning, Good Evening, How are You, and the amount of staff who just said Hello Mr & Mrs Mitchell never ceased to amaze, just that they took the time to remember our names! The food in all the restaurants was absolutely outstanding - the only downside was the Indian restaurant was closed which gave a little lack of choice in food options (but I am quite a picky eater), Mrs Mitchell absolutely devoured ALL of the seafood. Was a bit disappointing on the second last day that the boathouse restaurant (beautiful food) was closed all day for a private wedding which we weren't made aware of when we booked, I can imagine in the height of summer this could become annoying if there are lots of weddings - my wife felt that if there was a wedding held at the hotel, it shouldn't impact on other guests by a restaurant being shut all day and evening. Breakfast was absolutely superb, I am used to travelling through lockdown so understand the difficulty of providing buffet breakfasts, so the hotel did a fantastic job of this without impacting on the fabulous quality - even though it was buffet the staff still insisted on taking our food to the table on a lot of occasions. We didn't use the spa or the gym but both looked fantastic, we did take some bicycles for a little ride around the peninsula. It was also nice to be able to take advantage of watersports equipment FOC, so we had many an excursion on the lagoon on the kayaks and pedalos and Mrs Mitchell mastered the paddleboard - which I found far to stressful much to her delight. And lastly our room was fantastic, the bathroom amazing with a huge bath and walk in shower and walk in wardrobe. We have a very good expensive bed at home, but this bed was in another league. Mr Dimitrios Kostifakis should be proud of the team he has created at the resort and they are a credit to him! Overall our stay was truly amazing and worth every penny, and like everyone else apparently we cant wait to come back!…
