My partner booked a 2 night stay here using a voucher. Check in was easy. The room was quite compact but fine for a 2 night stay. There was a kettle and tea/coffee provided. The room was quite modern and appears to have recently undergone modernisation. The reason I am rating 3 is due to the cleanliness and observations made when at the hotel. The room was really dusty. Also the cleaning staff wasn't wearing a face mask when stripping down rooms. For this reason in light of the ongoing pandemic we wouldn't stop here again.

We stayed here for a one night breakaway, we found the Riverside Hotel room to be exceptionally clean, which is quite unusual these days (my wife is an expert having worked in hotels for years), there was a pleasant atmosphere in the Lounge/bar area which had a modern look, we didn’t require an evening meal, but had a breakfast, this was lovely, hot and can recommend. A pleasant surprise is the location on the river, which you cannot see on arrival until you walk around the building, here you can have a proper chill out observing the view.
