Everything is overpriced and just not worth it. I ordered three ice cream bars from their fridge. Price? $19.50 They were Klondike's or something. Nothing fancy. And then the poncy French bartender wouldn't even give me my change of a $20. When i asked him for my change he looked at me like I was crazy and said "What? You...

Had a nice, if scantily portioned lunch. Dinnewr awful. Menu was limited and most unimaginative. I had a blue cheese salad that was nothing more than a head of Romaine chopped in half with dressing and three croutons. The chocolate mousse had been frozen, but that was ok since they were passing off chocolate moose ice cream for a mousse.

we wanted to finish off our wedding anniversary trip on beautiful shelter island- unfortunately right around memorial day weekend. We wanted to spend a little more to have a nice hotel with good service. The view from the rooms is great, the balconies are pretty (but they were not cleaned before our arrival, a lot of dirt on the lawn...

I stayed with my partner at the Sunset Beach for a few days in June 2010 as part of a trip to New York and the surrounding area. We picked this hotel because it seemed quite modern - lots of the hotels in the Hamptons seemed to be quite chintzy, which being English is not to our taste at all....

Stayed at the Sunset Beach Motel for 4 nights. Everything was perfect, and you can ask such prices when the food and drinks are good, beautiful location, nice service. Spacy and fresh rooms. The only downfall I want to mention is the bathroom: very tiny, I showered with the door open ...

Looked forward to our stay at a $470 per night room at Sunset Beach and the only thing impressive was the view. The room was a little box with very tiny bathroom and semi-private terrace with no overhead protection. We did not stay and forfeited the $450. Read the reviews after coming home and glad we did not stay because...

Forget all of the naysayers about the Sunset Beach Hotel. We couldn't have been happier with our stay during the hotel's opening weekend. As for staff attitude, there was absolutely none. To a person, the staff was charming and helpful --- from allowing us an early check-in (unannounced due to unexpectedly -- and happily -- catching an early ferry from...

Over indulgence to the nth degree. The hotel has an authentic beach clean white personality with splashes of color and imagination. Immaculate rooms with fine appointments and impeccable service from an haute staff. The food was beautifully curated and views are a stunner. An absolute haven for calm leisure and sinful play. Fabulous music is a mainstay and decompression is...

What a shame. The hotel (motel really!) could be fantastic. It's location is excellent , the restaurant is nice and serves good food, even if it's trying too hard and therefore becomes a theme restaurant. It gets too busy at weekends and only for those who like lots of noise from Americans trying to be trendy Europeans!! although the most...

As my husband noted, this place is a $500/night Motel 6. The room was dirty. There is just no way around it. Even after our "maid service" the day after we checked in, the room was still dingy. The staff was absolutely incompetent and smug. They failed to do basic things like have a kid's bed ready in our room...
