Well we made a 5+ hour trip to Schroon Lake and we arrived at Starrey Night Cabins. Place was a little older and campier than I had thought and our cabin was just a couple of steps to owners home. But there was something very REAL about cabins. They've been around and you can feel the history of years gone...

The cabin we stayed in was very clean but the showers were terrible - the water came out so hard it actually hurt and no way to adjust it, the beds were very uncomfortable, the lock on the bedroom outside door only locked on the inside and anyone on the outside could just push this door open to enter at...

I think we have more fun here than at 4-star resort hotels. Brought the dog, who feels like many dogs, that playing with Tank, the resident Rottweiler, is the high point of the trip. The cabins and little motel rooms are sweet, decorated in knotty pine. This vacation, on lovely Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks, reminds me of childhood vacations...

First of all the name of the location is Starry Night Cabins. Those are not cabins. It's a motel in someone's backyard.
