Our stay at this property was perfect. The views were idyllic, the pool was delightful and the grounds were great for exploring with lots of hidden sculptures to enjoy. Direct access to hiking trails was definitely an added bonus. Highly recommend going for the hearty breakfast - it was delicious and really set us up for the day!

My family and I stayed for a week in this fairy-tale paradise. My in-laws loved being in the Tudor room -- which has gorgeous beamed ceilings and a huge fireplace. The outdoor veranda is another beautiful amenity we really enjoyed. It was like being in our own private castle. My companion and I stayed in the Chateau room, which is wonderfully... More

Romantic, picturesque, tranquil, scenic and relaxing are just a few words to describe our weekend at The Chateau Room in Saugerties, NY. Our hosts, Josepha and Benno are charming and hospitable. Make room for Josepha's VERY delicious breakfast. Main Street Saugerties offers restaurants and shopping plus you're not far from Kingston or Woodstock. Did I mention that the room is... More

Serene and peaceful. An equilibrium of rustic beauty and modern amenities. A hidden gem for its location and hospitality. The proprietors are warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. It was a much needed experience for me. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at this truly unique inn. We stayed in the Tudor Room. Its a large room with exposed beams, leaded glass windows, a big fireplace and 2 queen beds. The back door opens into a semi private cloistered space with amazing views of the Catskills. The patio area is comfortable with a pool and relaxing chairs. The... More

“Chateau room's outdoor green space (and breakfast area) is in full sun, while the Tudor room has an open air outside area. While uncovered, it has the better view of the grounds and further from the pool.”
