I stayed for 2 nights and found the staff very friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable although the bathroom was dated. The room has a table with chairs and a fridge but no coffee maker. However you can get tea or coffee in the lobby. I would have felt very comfortable at the hotel but for the fact...

Not a lot of frills but a great bargain. The rooms and hotel were very clean.Comfortable rooms and you couldn't ask for a more perfect location right in the heart of Saratoga Springs, we didn't have to use our car at all the entire week-end. The front desk staff were so friendly and very helpful.

Have stayed here several times. Can't beat location and price. Rooms spacious & clean. Not luxurious, but this hotel always seems busy, very friendly, and you walk out the door and your in the middle of downtown saratoga ... that's why we choose to stay here.

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Very accommodating for my son's 12th birthday party. The indoor pool is just outside the rooms, in a court yard setting allowing them to stay close. We had a corner room that was very clean and spacious. They offer pool parties in Sunday's during the winter... what a great way to break up...

Very basic, but very clean and pleasant. Right in the heart of downtown with shops and bars all around. Saratoga is just so much fun. The free breakfast offered good fresh fruit and lots of options. Pool is to small but it does work as a lap pool.

My goal on this trip was a place to lay my head overnight while traveling from one spot to another. I picked this hotel for the reasonable prices (and decent Trip Advisor reviews), plus a location where food was easy to get. It did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was as advertised -- not upscale...

I was attending a conference at the City Center nearby, and chose the Downtowner because of its proximity and affordability. I'm extremely glad I did so; the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was excellent - convenient to restaurants as well as to the conference - and the room was comfortable with everything I needed for an enjoyable stay.

We arrived on 10/19/2015 to see the foliage and enjoy Saratoga Springs, out of the racing season. Anne, my wife, fractured her left hip and fell just after we arrived at the Downtowner. Everyone, there was so kind to us. Mary Cae, the owner called, an ambulance for us and she and her son Cameron were so good to us....
