Well, the Inn itself is very well designed, furnished, clean and simply beautiful. The staff, Kyle, Jimmy, Allison, Mike and Genevieve were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very well done. The bad news...the owner himself, who is constantly walking around the inn or sitting at the bar was arrogant and argumentative. We had numerous issues. First, the restaurant...

We strongly recommend - lovely sense of hospitality , great food , clean rooms , great breakfast, we will be back fast. We love the Hudson valley this is is the nicest b&b where we stayed. We also loved the board games at night and the cocktails list (try the coconut mojito)

Loved this place! Went with another couple and especially appreciated all the attractive and spacious common areas--outside deck, living room, bar. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Only issue was lack of dresser and no place for bathroom items. Place was immaculate and had nice contemporary touches which helped it not feel its age!

My wife and I were visiting an old friend of hers in New Paltz and needed a place to stay. Most of the hotels in New Paltz are in the vein of EconoLodge, and we wanted something nicer. We took a chance on the 1850 House in Rosendale and were thrilled. The house is right in downtown Rosendale, a really...

My wife and I recently spent some time at the 1850 House Inn and Tavern. We enjoyed our stay so much we felt compelled to share our experience. The restaurant manger Alison, the Inn keepers Kyle and Jonathan and our bar tender Michael went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. So much so it was like staying in...

An absolute gem and the kind of place you could recommend to anyone for not only are the facilities splendid and the bed gloriously comfortable, everywhere is spotlessly clean. The Tavern has a homely feel enhanced by the genuinely friendly, helpful and professional staff. It is a credit to Mike, the owner, that he has built up this wonderful team...

Beautifully restored hotel with charming old wood floors and pictures of Rosendale throughout. The suite was wonderful....the restaurant was great esp. sitting outside on a nice summer evening. The staff was excellent as they addressed any request we had. Will surely return in the near future!!

The restoration of this beautiful building is stunning both inside and out. The attention to detail honors its past while still providing every modern amenity you could want. The common areas are wonderfully appointed with both new and antique furniture, and pictures that represent the history of Rosendale. The rooms are just as nice. The beauty of the inn is...
