You can not wish for a better place to stay on Finger Lakes! We are 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teenagers stayed in one of the yurts last week. This was our 1st yurt experience and we didn't know what to expect besides what I heard from Katherine when I made our reservation. It was everything she described to me over the phone. It is huge, the size of a city's apartment, with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and big bathroom. The windows are all around the yurt giving you opportunity for great air ventilation and multiple beautiful views: one way on the manor, another way on horse stable and the field and the other on the lake. The lake is only 3 minute walk away and has a private beach, which is the best, cleanest, quietest, secluded spot to swim, do BBQ or relax. It was the highlight of our trip! The food in our refrigerator supplied by Katherine was of the best quality. Katherine is a very intelligent person, she runs her business very smartly, but at the same time she is a very caring person. Our daughter was suppose to have her college orientation for 3 days, a few hours each day. It will be her 1st year in college and it was important for her to be present at each video call. It just happened that exactly at our arrival, the internet was very spotty in our yurt. Katherine not only let her come over and work inside of the manor's library on each day but also closed part of the house just for her to not distract other guests or them not to distract her. At the end of our trip she let us have a late check out which gave us another opportunity to enjoy the lake. Thank you Katherine, we will definitely come back sometime and will recommend you to our people!

LOVE THIS REVIEW - every detail brings out the atmosphere we are intending for our guests. It was such a pleasure to have your entire family here and help make it a special and affordable week for all of you in these odd times. We can't wait for your return and for Victor's rendering of the Manor House. Wonderful! Kath & Phil

My husband took me to Seneca Lake for my birthday and we stayed at this lovely B and B.. Katherine was a fine hostess and made 2 delectable breakfasts. The inn is quaint and full of character. We stayed in the Cayuga room and the gas fireplace was a welcomed feature after being out on the wine trail all afternoon. Inn is located in a private "off the main road" location with an enjoyable view of Seneca lake. ust a quiet and restful place.

We stayed in a yurt and couldn't have been more pleased with the actual set-up. Comfortable bed, good sized shower (not a tiny stall), couch, table, kitchen area, etc. The fridge/yurt was well stocked with breakfast items as well (breakfast pastries, bagels, eggs, granola, yogurt, berries, etc,). My only comment to anyone looking to stay here was watch the weather. We were not expecting 90 degrees in mid-May and the yurt would heat up during the day. Even with the windows opened and the dome popped open, it got pretty warm inside. However, by the time we went to sleep, it was back to being very comfortable.

Great review, thank you. Yes, weather is all over the map these days. Could be snowing (which it did the week earlier!!). Honeoye is our warmest yurt - the other three have shade that makes a huge difference if you are in there midafternoon. Most folks are out and about during this time, and it's a good plan to do that if the weather is unseasonable. In summer, you can just go jump in the lake to cool off, but it's too cold in May to tell people to jump in the lake!! hahaha. Thanks again for the review.

We had never stayed in a yurt, and didn't really know what to expect. We had seen one in a state park several years ago , but this was nothing like that. This was amazing! It was somehow roomy and cozy at the same time, kind of a mix between a tent, a cabin and a fancy hotel room. It was close to nature, with a great view of Seneca Lake and just a short trip to the boat house on the shore which we could use. There were 2 chairs and a fire pit outside our yurt, and a grill to be shared by the 4 yurts. Yet the inside was beautiful with high-end amenities like a king size bed with luxury linens, a full bath with plush towels, a gas fireplace and smart TV. There was also a small kitchenette--no stove, but a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig and small fridge. Glasses, plates, silverware, etc. were there for our use. And the fridge was stocked with coffee, juice and milk, eggs, bagels, fruit, and small pastries. We were very impressed by the thoughtful touches. Also, we are big winery fans, and this was a great location to visit wineries, some within a few minutes drive. We stayed 2 nights and it was wonderful. I would definitely come back.

If you are looking for a change of scenery and unique accommodations, I would highly recommend this B&B! Me and hubby were here to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and wanted to do something different. Due to covid, we thought it would be ideal to stay in the yurt! I'm not the camping type, so this seemed more my speed, glamping, lol. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of the yurt. It's just enough space for two people and pretty much had all the amenities you would need for the weekend. Everything was clean, bedding was great and the fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies. When it started to get chilly once the sun went down, the space heaters kept the yurt warm and comfy. There are only four yurts not including the manor which I believed hosted 4 to 5 couples as well. The boat dock is a 5-7 minute walk, nice views on the lake. The service was very personable and we didn't need anything for our 3 night stay. We did have dinner served to us the 1st night and the chef did an outstanding job. We had the scallops and filet and they were both cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was amazing in flavor, texture and density, YUM! The only cons, if you even call it that, was noise level. Because the yurts are close together and guests walking to and fro, you can hear music/TV conversations, but not in a disruptive way. Also, when using the toaster and microwave simultaneously, it tends to trip the breaker which they tell you about in the info for the yurt. We checked out a couple breweries and winery one day and took advantage of the wine tour package the following day, which I will write up a separate review on that. Great visit and would definitely come back again!!!

Yale Manor is conveniently located on the East side of Seneca Lake, not far from Geneva and many wineries on/near Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, as well as a short drive to Taughannock Falls. The Cayuga Room was beautiful with views of the lake from all the windows as well as a fireplace and cozy king sized bed. Private bathroom was great. The breakfast was delicious and brought around 9am each day.

Spent four comfortable nights at Yale Manor B&B this last weekend. Lovely 1910 farmhouse and several Yurts. Decorated beautifully and festooned with Halloween fun! Try and book the Canandaiga room for its FANTASTIC ensuite bathroom. All rooms in the house very comfortable. Covid presented challenges with the breakfast service (individual trays brought to each room) but all went well. If we can't get the Canandaiga room next year, we'll try for a yurt!!!!

Yes do!! Glad you like the room - now we have 3 options (weather dependent) - outside on the lawn, in the dining room OR your room for breakfast! Until any chance of covid rising again. We love having folks in the dining room again and the outdoor option between the huge copper beeches is incredible. We look forward to your return!

We love the Finger Lake region and did quite a lot of research regarding where to stay safely during COVID. This place in our view was by far the best. Staying in a yurt allowed us the opportunity to socially distance while still enjoying the things we like to do - bike riding, hiking, swimming and spending time at the Yale B&B private dock a short walk away. The yurt was impeccably clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed we could remember sleeping on at any 4 star hotel.
Great ice cream too at a creamery in Interlaken too should not be missed if you find yourselves nearby or if you plan your day around an ice cream visit there you would not be disappointed.
Back at the yurt, the fridge was well stocked and dietary restrictions were respected.
Katherine was great with keeping in touch prior to our arrival as well as answering our questions that arose during our 4 day stay.
We highly recommend staying in a yurt at Yale Manor and look forward to returning again.

We decided to spend our end of summer vacation in the Finger Lakes, and booked a week's stay at Yale Manor. We had a wonderful time thanks to Katherine and Phil at Yale Manor. They were extremely helpful with our planning and answering our questions before our arrival. We stayed in the Manor House, and they have carefully accommodated all the necessary guidelines during the pandemic. In additiona to the Manor House rooms, the property offers Yurt tents as an option. We made frequent use of the Boat House for an evening swim and preparing dinner on the grill. Yale Manor is conveniently located to enjoy the many great attractions in the area such as hiking, biking and wine tasting. Wonderful!

Loved visiting. We stayed in the manor mostly because I love B& B breakfasts, and was not disappointed. The Yurts looked amazing as well and were just as comfortable looking as our room.
Our room was the one with a private bath not attached to the room, but that was not an issue. The bath was large, comfortable, and walking three feet down the hall was not a big ask, especially while in the most comfortable robe that was provided.
The location is great for staying and touring the wine trail or any hiking trails. We visited in Nov. so swimming off the dock did not happen, but we did take a walk down and would have really enjoyed the space in the warmer months. There were other guests enjoying the bonfire and we would have joined them if we didn't have dinner plans. All the guests were friendly, mostly because it is a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing, did I say that already?
Fabulous hosts, and fantastic rooms
