Stumbled upon this place last minute and feel lucky to have found this gem! We got the last room for the night, which was a cozy little room and perfect for what we needed. The food was great, even the bar menu had plenty of options and alcoholic beverages were spot on. Not too strong, not too weak. We enjoyed...

My wife and I stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from driving up and seeing the magnificent building overlooking the lake to the breakfast the next morning. I am not a big fan of B&B's and was a little wary of our stay here but was quickly put at ease when we walked in the lobby and was greeted by...

The manor is centrally located for fun and nature all around. Close to Hudson, Woodstock, Hunter Mountain, and many historical sites. The acres of land around the inn are beautiful as well as the inn itself. Stan, Suzanne, and the gang will make you feel right at home and Stan's home cooked breakfast is quiet yummy. The Bavarian Manor made...

The Bavarian has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years. We've driven there through snow storms and downpours for the most outstanding German/Austrian cuisine around. The Schnitzels, Saurbratten and Rouladen are great favorites. Suzanne and Stan are very accomodating and employ a great staff. Ellen at Breakfast is great fun and good with local stories. The Inn is...

We have been stopping at the Bavarian Manor on the way home from many of our "upstate"NY trips for a few years and were always impressed with and totally enjoyed the restaurant with it's home feel and wonderful food. We took this past weekend to finally stay at the inn and wished we had done it sooner. Very comfortable and...

Stayed 3 nights in late May... Drove around and walked a lot. The scenery is fantastic, saw the Hudson Valley Art School lighting. Overall- enjoyed the stay with our close friends. Beware: The building fits well into the Rip Van Winkle environment i.e., is old. Almost everything is old. Had to change the room because the first had an "antique"...

Thank you for your review. I took your comments as the final straw for that bed in #37. Most people do not want a foot board. So now, that antique bed (which got a lot of use!) is now reitred and there is a wonderful set up now.

We took my mom here for her birthday, since she loves German food and people. We decided to stay overnight and booked a family suite in advance. The Inn is really beautiful as you approach it from the road. There was a little glitch at check-in: no rooms on the ground floor for mom (we failed to ask about this...

Thank you so much for your kind words. You and your mom were very nice. Glad it worked out with the rooms. The cowbell ringing for birthdays is ALOT of fun.

My wife and I were debating staying here after reading some of the negative reviews on this site, and we ended up going because it was very close to many of the places we wanted to visit. What a good decision! The rooms were extremely neat and tidy, and we absolutely loved every bit of it, right down to the...

Thank you for your review. We constantly strive to be the best we can be, sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fall short. Our family and staff take all comments to heart and we learn from them all. The Bavarian Manor has been a comfortable friendly place folks have been coming to for over 145 years and we hope to...

Decided to book this hotel as it was only about 25 minutes from Windham Mountain. So glad we did! The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and accommodating and made the trip even better. The room was clean, comfy and quaint and was able to get a good rest. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and I would...

“We appreciated having a fireplace in the room, but the wind blew ours out frequently. The rooms on the other side of the hall didn't have that problem. If you're not familiar with the area and these roads, it's hard driving after dark, which comes early in the winter. And then the restaurant is closed :(”
