They just do parks right in the U.S. It's a waterfront/beachfront park with ample parking, day use sites and facilities. Well maintained although was there when it was closed for the season the park was still immaculate. Had a great walk along the shore and can only imagine how great it would be to spend a day here in better...

We had a family picnic at the beach. It allowed the children to play in the water and provided for plenty of shade for others to sit and be out of the sun. There was plenty of watercraft activity on the water to add to the beautiful bay's backdrop.

We try to camp here every summer. There are some campsites that are almost right on the beach. The beach is neat and clean. There are bathrooms with showers that are well kept. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the lake.

Staying at a nearby hotel, I needed a place nearby to get some fresh air and my daily walk. Headed for Cumberland Bay State Park and found it a delightful place... Nice beach (frozen from the shoreline to about a mile out, I would say); beautiful views of the distant Green Mountains, Adirondacks, and Lake Champlain; some pretty sand dunes...

With the campsites closed down, the beach and walking trails are easy access. Some paved paths for wheelchairs but the climb over the bluffs may be a little steep for some. I wouldn't recommend bikes as it is not a long walk even if you do a full loop. However, the view and the peace and quiet once you are...

I've stayed here a couple of times. The first visit, 2006, we stayed closer to the lake and it was comfortable, if a bit cramped. This year I selected a corner site down on the lawn to have a little more elbow room. Should have stayed in the wooded area! If you don't mind the sound of traffic (maybe in...

Visited to beat the heat. It's a good walk from the parking lot to the beach, maybe 1/4 mile or so. There is ample lawn and beach to get a nice spot away from other people. Unfortunatly, the swimming area is very small. To make it worse, I was not allowed to go in the "deep" section, just the kids...

We go to the Cumberland Park twice in year and really enjoy staying. We have gone there for 4 years. Very good place to spend time with friends and family. Everything is closed to the camping. Each night we made a fire and playing the game with children. The lake beach is not deep, so good for small children. You...

We stayed overnight on our way to NH, and were glad to hit the Grand Isle Ferry in the morning fresh and ready for roading. We had a decent space and the sites are mostly large enough to enjoy for a short time. This would not be where I spend a two week vacation, but for a short night or...

We stayed here for Labor day weekend, visiting from Canada. We had great service from the staff. The bathrooms and showers were clean, however I would suggest to bring flip flops for the showers, the only gross thing was the drain (not in the shower, you never step on it). The only criticism that I have is that the camping...

“This a campground - it does not have cabins or a hotel.”

“We were at campsite 36, super close to the beach. It was really windy when we arrived and we were so happy to have the little hill there that deflected most of the wind off of our site. Any site on the beach is really quite nice!”
