As soon as we arrived, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. They were great to deal with and helped provide information that assisted during our stay in Oia.
The room was neat and tidy and had nice amenities, which included two hot tubs; 1 x indoor and 1 x outdoor on the upstairs balcony.
Perfect location which is about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant & shops and of course the popular blue domes.
Breakfast was also included during our stay and Gian nailed that for us on both mornings which set us up well for our days in Santorini.
10/10 Highly recommended stay. You will definitely not go wrong.

One spends a lifetime dreaming of visiting magical places and if one is lucky, actually gets to go to them. And when that happens, the hotel plays an important part in making the dream a reality. This was particularly important on our trip to Santorini as this was a trip planned with my husband who passed away last year before we could take it, so my daughter and I took the journey. We could not have chosen a more perfect hotel than Sole D'oro. First, a word of practicality. This beautiful hotel is on a road that is accessible by car: we were dropped off right at the front and the staff immediately took our luggage. That's not the case with all Oia hotels. Go down a half mile towards the town of Oia and the road turns into pedestrian only. There are many hotels along the pedestrian road, and we saw people and drivers dragging their luggage down the cobbled stone walkway to their hotels. Not any way to start a vaycay. Sole D'Oro is in the perfect Oia location. There is a little grocery store next door as well as Nemomilos, a traditional greek tavern with AMAZING food, (especially home made Baklava). This is a new, beautifully styled hotel with the sweetest, most gracious hosts. Ljupka and her adorable husband (they are the ones in the photos) and their amazing staff can't do enough to make every moment exquisite. I don't know when these people sleep! The place is immaculate! We were greated with a welcome drink, a bottle of wine in our room, terrycloth robes and snacks. Breakfast was served in room daily at a time we chose, and it was amazing. Our hot tub overlooked a cliff with the sea beyond. Ljupka arranged personal transportation to and from Fira with drivers that took us home "the long way on the old road" so we could experience the highest point of the island. Breathtaking. We spent an evening at the bar chatting with other visitors, and sometimes we didn't speak the same language! One important note: Santorini is not easy for people with even mild mobiity issues due to the hills, cobblestone streets, etc. I have some moderate issues but could easily maneuver the traditional Greek design of this hotel. This was NOT the case when we visited the nearby Marriot for a spa day and had to negotiate the steep inclines and numerous steps. While the buildings on the cliffs are beautiful, as the pictures show, many have geographically challenging areas and are not handicap friendly. Another reason we were so glad to be at Solel D'Oro. The morning we left I fought back tears. We were blessed to have this opportunity to fulfill a dream and meet these wonderful people in a little slice of heaven. And we WILL be back.

Brand new hotel just a 7 minute walk to the center of Oía. Rooms are very clean, well equipped with everything you need, the beds are super comfortable and each come with a private rooftop terrace with hot tub. Hanging out in the rooftop hot tub watching the sunset was the highlight of our trip. We really enjoyed having a quiet place to relax at the end of the day as Oía is very crowded during the summer months. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Fresh breakfast delivered to your room every morning. Fantastic. Would stay here again!

A short 5 minute walk to the main strip of Oia, this hotel is just perfect luxury! Rooms are just gorgeous and have everything you could possible need in them.
Rooms have their own hot tub and there is a (very) small pool for general use as well. Cute little bar by the reception where gorgeous cocktails are served. A really friendly vibe to the whole stay with staff that will do anything to help you out.
No restaurant on site (breakfast and small snacks such as club sandwiches can be served) but it is so close to everything, it's not needed.
The sunset view doesn't happen though so keep that in mind in case you're really looking for that.
The hotel is completely new, this being their first season. We'd come back over and over again!

The Sole D'oro is a lovely place to stay in Santorini. The room was comfortable, spotless, and well-maintained and had a private jacuzzi and balcony where a positively delicious breakfast was served each morning. The staff were all warm, friendly, and helpful as well. The only downside is that it is not on the cliff side. It's probably my fault for not researching enough to realize this beforehand, but I assumed when I booked a seaview room at this price point that I would be getting the remarkable cliff side sea view that Oia is known for. That is not the case. The view was kind of disappointing and was of the other side of the island.

Exceptional experience at this lovely hotel! Note: I visited in September 2021 and have been remiss in writing up reviews from that trip. I spent 4 nights with one of my closest friends in Oia for my 40th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to decorate our room with gifts and treats my friend brought prior to our checkin. And that was just the beginning of the positive impressions the staff made. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The suite was gorgeously appointed and roomy, the hot tub was one of the best parts of our trip (lots of wine was consumed in that hot tub!), and the breakfasts served on our patio every morning were wonderful!! I can’t recommend this place enough and hope that I can return to enjoy their hospitality again some day!!

My husband and I stayed at Sol’edoro for our babymoon for four nights. We loved this place! The service and hospitality are unparalleled. We communicated with the staff multiple times prior to our arrival for requests such as helping with restaurant reservations, car rental, and private transportation to and from the airport and they were so helpful and always responded quickly. The room was lovely and spacious and we enjoyed our hot tub each night with the lovely bottle of wine gifted to us on arrival. Breakfast was incredible each morning! Such a treat and a great way to start each day. The only downside is that there isn’t a caldera ocean view although our balcony/hot tub did have a sea view (view of the other side of the island), so keep that in mind if that is what you are looking for. It was a quick walk into Oia, however, for excellent views and sunset. Next door is a small supermarket where we bought drinking water and other necessities, as well as a car rental place from which we conveniently rented a car for one day.

Overall would highly recommend staying at Sol’e Doro again for a beautiful boutique hotel experience with exceptional service! Thank you to the wonderful staff there for making our stay so amazing!

We couldn't have asked for a better stay at Sole D'oro. We had never been to Santorini before and i'd suggest staying here!! 5 mins walk to Oia and right on the doorstep of the hike from Oia to Fira.

I must say the staff really made this experience for us. I proposed to my now Fiance (phew) and Ljupka was just as excited as we were!! The staff really went above and beyond to make this experience what it was for us. Ljupka hand cut love hearts, put little lights and got some rose petals for when we arrived back at the apartment, and the chef put together a fruit platter with a swan shaped apple!

Breakfast is incredible and served wherever you like. The omelette in particular was my favourite, as well as the yoghurt!!

Thank you so much to the team, you really outdone yourselves and I couldn't thank you more.

This was a great stay for our week in Santorini. It’s right on the outskirts of Oia, so you don’t have to worry about hiking your luggage up and down the hills. Right across the street is the walking path from Oia to Fira which made for an incredible sunset view. The staff were very friendly! They provided a great personalized breakfast and served different times if needed. And they also had lunch options until 5pm at the bar. Our room had a hot tub on top with beautiful views of the water and vineyards. We felt safe, cared for, and very welcomed the entire time. All the staff were pleasant, asked about our day, and also gave us recommendations. Would stay again as it’s quiet, away from the crowds, but a close walk to the busy Oia.

Can we move in here? We’ve never felt so comfortable or been to such a beautiful resort before! From the moment we checked in until we left, the full team here was kind, welcoming and incredibly generous. We were on our honeymoon and loved staying just outside of the Caldera so we could have a bit more privacy.

Each morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast and coffee. The greek yogurt and fresh fruit were a highlight! We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi access and beautiful views across the island.

The bus pickup right outside the hotel provides easy access throughout Santorini! We also loved that it was extremely easy to jump onto the trail between Fira and Santoini for a beautiful hike. If you’re the active type, the hike was one of our favorite days. Just bring a lot of sunscreen, water and a hat as the trail was surprisingly rigorous.

While we aren’t sure when we’ll be back in Santorini, we absolutely know where we will be staying when that happens.
