Our cycling tour company (44|5 Cycling Tours) stays at La Lozerette on one of our week-long tours each year. This family-run hotel is in a perfect, quiet location, close to the town of Florac and right on the edge of an ancient, atmospheric hamlet. Pierrette, the owner, is a sommelier and runs an excellent restaurant as part of the establishment....

This little place has always been a key part of our winding down to our stays in southern France beyond the Cevennes. It's setting is magical set in the Cevennes right by the Gorges du Tarn. We stayed over for an extra day this year to enjoy some wonderful walking in the hills and villages close by. Madame Agulhon runs...

Located in the small village of Cocurés on the outskirts of Florac, La Lozerette is a delightful 2 star hotel. The bedrooms are small by modern hotel standards but they are beautifully appointed, the beds are outstandingly comfortable and the en-suite is equipped with top quality Sanitaryware. There is a very pleasant bar area and lounge to relax in, the...

Very kind proprietor. Good hiking. Well designed though small rooms. Breakfast mediocre for France. Dinner also mediocre. Ris d Veau good except for sauce that seemed from a package. Special dinner item - shrimp - only 3 seemed a bit too few. Choice of Dessert or cheese course - pass on the cheese course - two small toast rounds topped...

Stayed in this lovely hotel after a long trip through the beautiful countryside of the Cévennes. Our room was nicely decorated even luxurious and clean! But no heating at first and nights are cold end of October. We were welcomed by friendly owner Pierrette! Good glass of wine before dinner so looked forward to the rest. We had the menu...

I really enjoyed being at this place with its own vegetable patch and herb garden for the kitchen, a private treed garden across the road where it is divine to sit and have a drink after a day on the road, lovely elegant rooms and comfortable beds, great people and a tiny old village a few metres along the road...

I am sure that this hotel has been really impressive. Unfortunately it now feels rather tired and past its best. On the positive side, the owner is efficient and very welcoming. She is also an excellent sommelier and her choice of wine helped to make it an enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately our room was definitely in need of improvement. Whilst madame...

This little gem is very special. It sits in the heights of the Cevennes and overlooks the Gorges du Tarn up country from Florac and at the outset of the Corniche des Cevennes. Just a short walk will put you on the heights overlooking the hamlet or the depths of the Gorges! The hotel is small with quirky rooms which...

We stayed at this hotel by chance as they had rooms available on the first weekend of the summer holidays - something of a miracle. Friendly welcome, free parking, lovely views, comfortable bed and a delightful garden are some of the positives. Be aware though that there is no wifi in the rooms - something to do with the reinforced...

It was a welcome relief to get to this hotel after a hard days cycling. Welcome was OK got better later. I was surprised often to see kitchen rolling their cigarettes and smoking outside the front entrance and i think that is one of the issues for this hotel - image. We loved our room with a balcony and it...
