    We found Chateau Cagninacci to be a charming place to spend a couple of days. The owners (Florence and Bertrand and Madam Cagninacci) were very gracious, and seemed pleased to have us stay in their home. They do have some reasonable restriction, e.g. no photos inside, and they did not provide keys for the rooms (we did not feel they...

    Well, the "chateau" was actually once a monastery, nicely situated in the hills of the Cap Corse. Today, it is a chambre d'hote (not a hotel, as the owner stresses) with a handful of no-frills rooms. The towels are only changed after 3-4 days, the bedsheets once a week.     the Chateau Cagninacci is actually a former convent turned private estate a 100 years ago (and in the same family ever since), it has amazing views over the sea, and is within walking distance of San Martin di Lota where you can find 2 very good restaurants. The B&B has 4 rooms, we had one with sea view. The rooms...
