Ruth & Dave are hands-down some of the friendliest & most helpful people you will ever meet. They are warm and welcoming. Cloud-Splitter Outfitters is your go-to place for not just accommodations... visit them for kayak & canoe rentals, bait & tackle, camping supplies, groceries, firewood, ice and more! They are sure to have what you need... and if they...

The owners, Ruth and Dave, are a source of knowledge about the area, as well as being exceptionally kind and thoughtful - the sort of people you would love to count as members of your family! They could not have been more helpful when we went to them for guidance linked to our hobby of wildlife photography. Thanks to them...

Our group of 3 families -- 6 adults and 6 kids (8 to 14 years old) -- loved our stay this summer! The owners, Ruth and Dave, put a lot of love into the property and the people who stay there. The cabins are simple but well-appointed and nicely furnished -- better than we had expected! There is a lot...

Every time we visit the Adirondacks we rent either kayaks or a canoe from the cloud splitter outfitters. They have made every vacation one to remember. The owners (Dave & Ruth) are some of the nicest people around and run an honest, local business that we are extremely happy to support. We highly recommend this place to anyone who visits...

The cabin we rented was called the Tamerack, named for the trees that frame a fabulous view of the Hudson River and Adirondack mountains. Everything in the cabin was spotless and comfortable. The prapriators of Cloud-Splitter Outfitters have everything you need for your outdoor adventure. They have rowboats and canoes for fishing and they will share with you the best...

We have spent a few summers in Newcomb at a seasonal rental. In the past, we have rented kayaks from Cloud-Splitter's. This summer we had several family members coming for a visit over Columbus weekend, so we rented the Tamarak and Pilot's House from Cloud-Splitter's to accommodate some of our extra guests. First, the cabins are GREAT! Clean and pleasantly...

I rented Cloud-Splitter Outfitters Pilot's House for a guided group paddle trip. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we added a 3rd night to our stay. Newcomb offers a variety of paddling, hiking and biking options in a truly scenic area. There's a lot of great history to learn about here also. I especially enjoy the wildness of the region....
