I've never had a B& B host who is such a good read of her guests. She chats succinctly and knowledgeably... and only when asked. Terrific location for walks. I took morning walks around the neighborhood, and walked Washington HQ and the funky cool restaurants on Liberty Street and down to the walkway along the Hudson and to the ferry...

I grew up in Newburgh, and was returning for my 55th high school reunion. It was sad to see the obvious decline of what was an Look Magazine All-American City in the mid-1950's. However, staying at the B&B reinforced the feeling that the spirit of the city has not disappeared. The owner, Nancy, grew up in the house, and returned...

We traveled by boat to Newburgh and docked at the riverfront marina. The b&b was very close to the marina. The rooms were very big and beautifully decorated. We were 2 couples and our gracious host Nancy allowed us to choose our rooms. The garden was so pretty and if you are a pet lover, which we are she has...

I'm leery of trying a different B&B. Goldsmith Denniston is great. Clean, friendly, quality. I wouldn't change a thing. Grand old house. Totally remodeled. Beautiful yards. It really has it all. Nancy puts on a great breakfast and coffee. You'll get a key and privacy. We would go back eagerly.

My husband and I stayed overnight during the past long-weekend and loved how close the inn was to the local brewery, restaurants on the water and local museums. It's situated in a historic part of the Hudson River Valley and offers great views of the river. The hostess (Nancy and Chuck) were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The inn was beautiful,...

The earlier negative comments (I always read negative comments as well) were overblown. The animals are NEVER in the house sayeth my "even allergic to pictures of cats".Like many pearls of Nineteenth century America including the one I am happy to live in, Newburgh has lost some of the very wealthy who built and populated fine homes and these structures have...

In the middle Hudson Valley town of Newburgh, historic district a lovely B&B with all the amenities, along with accommodating, friendly and helpful owners. Nancy and Chuck have a long history with the B&B and the area. Great breakfast, too.

We stayed here in August and were there the same time the Laurie J couple were there. The hostess always asks what time you want breakfast. She offers 9 AM but if you want earlier - you get it. We asked for an earlier time as we wanted to get to the museums as they open. We got what we...

I needed a place to stay half way on a long car trip and stumbled upon the Goldsmith Denniston House. Nancy and Chuck couldn't have been nicer and the house was an absolute delight. Every room had lovely antiques, beautiful silver and lovely artwork and furniture. I enjoyed sitting in their beautiful garden, by a small fountain and pond, and...

I think the reviews are a bit overdone. Breakfast is not served before 9am. Which I think is late for travelers. We were given one hand towel and one bath towel for a couple. The windows can not be opened and the a/c was shut off at night so it was uncomfortable sleeping. There is a cat in the house,...
