I have stayed with Hal and Gay at the Storm King Lodge many times and am never disappointed. Beautiful setting, great hosptiality and wonderful accomodations all for a reasonable price. You can't go wrong.

The owner Hal couldn't be nicer. It is a clean and quaint place to stay. It is also historic. Hal also makes the best homemade breakfast each morning. It includes lots of healthy options. The owners want you to enjoy your stay. They offer many suggestions so your trip to the area is filled with wonderful experiences.

We found our room to be clean and the bed is very comfortable. While the room is small, which is expected in an older building, the living and dining room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious. Gay & Hal are lovely hosts We stay here because the location is close to our son's home. Looking out on the...

What a wonderful weekend! From the moment you walk into the inn, you feel the warmth of the innkeeper, Hal, and the cozy ambiance of your surroundings. Our room was beautifully decorated in yellows and blues, and was immaculate. The yummy candies left for us on the dresser were such a great touch! Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Choices of yogurt,...

For 40+ years, my friend and I have been taking trips to discover what's beyond LI. This year, we decided to head to Storm King Art Center. Of course, we needed a place to stay, and instead of seeking out a hotel, we thought that a Bed & Breakfast could be fun. I found Storm King Lodge on a B...

The property and view from the veranda were gorgeous, the food was delicious (fritata on Saturday, baked challah french toast on Sunday), and the bed in our room (the Lavender Room) was extremely comfortable. Hal created a very welcoming atmosphere and that lead to all the guests bonding with each other and great conversation at breakfast. He also gave us...

Dirty, Ants, NO locks on the doors, Dirty pool, Dirty kitchen, Dirty sheets, really dirty... need I say more? The owner just was not well enough to do the upkeep that was necessary and was unwilling to hirer help while we were there. It would have made all the difference if they were not so cheap and hired a staff...

My husband and I have been visiting Hal and the Storm King Lodge for four years. This year we got married and weren't able to book a summer trip--but we were really itching to get back, so we went over Labor Day weekend. And we were right to do it: Summer wasn't complete without one of Hal's delicious breakfasts (the...

Walked into a home away from home. Hal made sure my family was perfectly at home. No easy task! We had cottage and 2 rooms in the Inn. Met fantastically interesting people, would love to have had more time to really have enjoyed their stories! The breakfasts were bountiful, creative and delicious! The grounds were spectacular and well kept. Rooms...

The Storm King Lodge is a great place to escape to whether as a couple or with the entire clan. We stayed there as part of a romantic return trip to Storm King Art Center, and also spent a great day at Dia: Beacon. The guests at the lodge were a very compatible group, sharing interests in art and culture,...
