We stayed in the gites with our whole family and had a wonderful time. The chateau is located in the middle of it's own vineyards and in the morning you can have wonderful walks. You can taste their delicious wines and other local products. It is a very quiet place and close to the wonderful city of Carcassonne. Everything was...

We always enjoy the very warm welcome from the host. The area, the houses and the rooms are very clean and lovley decorated. We feel at home inside. Since this year the pool is heated, so we can even swim in fall. We like it, because it is so quiet an you can look over the wine and olive yards....

We spend a couple of days on Chateau Canet for a family reunion. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The hosts Floris and Victoria are extremely generous, warm and welcoming, always prepared to help. Their wine is amazing, the gites are very comfortable and the fresh bread and croissants hanging at your door in the morning are real nice. Great (heated...

We spent a long weekend at a family reunion at this amazing spot in the middle of the vineyards. The gites are well maintained and comfortable. Finding breakfast hanging from your door in the morning is a very nice touch. The surroundings are magical with vines and olive trees everywhere. The owners went out of their way to make our...

We have just returned from Chateau Canet with a group of 28 people from our Book Club. The whole trip was made very special by the superb hospitality of Victoria and Floris. The gites are beautiful and the attention to detail is superb. Fresh bread and croissants delivered daily to the door for breakfast and the wine is stunning!

We (family of 4 with kids aged 9 and 12) spent a great week in one of the gites at the beginning of July. It was great to have use of a pool, tennis court and tabletennis table. Also lovely to be able to walk around the estate. The airport is a half-hour drive away, and Carcassone is also close....

Chateau Canet is a magnificent site. Located 10 minutes’ drive from Medieval city of Carcassonne, 45 min to 1 hr from Béziers, Perpignan, Narbonne, Mirepoix et l’Abbaye de Fontfroide The accommodations are located in the middle on a beautiful vineyard; a very large property where you can enjoy quite calm walks between vines and olive groves. Although the wine making...

Stayed at the Chateau for a week at the end of July with a group of family/friends. This was our first visit and despite very high expectations (given we've had family who have visited before and loved it) we weren't disappointed. The area is beautiful and serene, despite being isolated (in a good way). The vineyard is within shouting distance...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Château Canet is a traditional and family run wine estate, recognized as one of the leading "domaines" of Minervois, Languedoc-Roussillon. Among the vines and olive plantations you will find a cluster of nine independent cottages all converted from original buildings and the Château itself. Within the grounds you will find plenty to keep the whole family occupied including a swimming pool, tennis courts and children’s play room. While on holiday here you can explore the vineyards, hike through miles of private countryside following herb-scented trails or use one of the estate's bikes and venture further afield, along the peaceful country roads surrounding the estate. ... more   less
