We stayed there on a quick visit to Lake Placid. Got a good rate and even paid a little extra for an upgrade to a Lake view room. The staff are very friendly and take time to interact with you. Walking around halls or lobby you will be greeted by all staff member with a smile. The hotel is very...

I spent a weekend here for a conference in the middle of October. The views are spectacular overlooking Mirror Lake. The hotel is in walking distance of local shops, bars, and restaurants. The food provided at the conference was excellent. This is a top notch establishment, and I highly recommend staying here. Spend the evening by the gas fire pit...

A lovely hotel situated on a hilltop with a spectacular view of Mirror Lake. Rooms are nice, staff is professional, food is decent - but the view from the lounge is worth $1,000,000. If you can secure a deal (which are offered frequently to IHG members) I would recommend. Otherwise, I think it's a bit overpriced for the caliber of...

The hotel is not lakefront but up on a hill with magnificent views of Mirror Lake. It is well maintained, a friendly staff and just a short walk to town. There is an indoor pool. Being IHG members they upgraded up to a lake view balcony suite with jacuzzi. UNexpected and very welcome surprise. Thank you Crowne Plaza Lake Placid....

Straight up, the hotel rooms, service and food are all decent but very much in line with any big hotel chain. Nothing special. The brunch is a reasonable $13 for the regular gamut of breakfast options. You will pay the same at a breakfast place in Lake Placid for just an omelette, toast and coffee. The decor of the hotel...

This is an excellent hotel. Beware, however, it sits on a hill which is the reason for my 4 stars. This place is beautiful, beautifully appointed and the views are indescribable. If you are infirm, have difficulty walking or just simply cannot walk hills getting down to the Village is very difficult. There are "stairs" to the Village but it...

Had the pleasure of staying a few nights in Lake Placid at the Crowne Plaza recently. The drive from the Northway was beautiful with the change of the seasons as was the view from this hotel. The hotel itself is painfully average after you get over the beauty of the view. There are shops on Main Street and a few...

This is a nice average place. The grounds are nice. You are right above Main Street, a tragically hip street with lots of t shirt shops etc. The one drawback is that the stairs/path to Main Street is kind of steep, so if you are at all infirm, you are going to not like it. The view is good, and...

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for the best lodging in lake placid. This is our 2nd time staying here and we have loved our experiences each time! You can't beat the location and the scenic views. I recommend the new Adirondack wing with the lake view... it is worth the extra money! The decor and...

We took a bus tour to the Adirondacks and this was the hotel selected for our group. What a magnificent location and the views from the hotel are wondferful--of course none of us on the bus tour had great views from our rooms--but we weren't in them long anyway. Were we to have been in our rooms often we would...
