Thank you for your wonderful descriptions and 5/5 rating! The Placid Bay Inn is indeed a family owned business. This winter we will be celebrating 39 years of continuous operation! Just a quick correction - we are located within the village of Lake Placid and directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Placid itself. Main Street is a short 8-10 minute walk away Thank you for sharing your experience with others. We look forward to your return if your travels bring you back our way..

We love the cottage look with the red doors & gorgeous landscaping… Beautiful flowers everywhere and the canoe to use on the lake to soak in the views of mansions & flaming leaves. I’m a bathroom Conisour so I love the deep tub with relaxing ledges and bowed shower rod for

Just finished our eighth visit to Placid Bay Inn. We go each fall for hiking and appreciate all the information the owners provide about hiking and the town. After a long day hiking we enjoy the tub for soaking tired muscles, it is deeper than most motel tubs. It would be great

No. There is a dock for the two canoes, but is muddy.

is breakfast served?
No breakfast served. This is a motel (wood paneling and rustic feel). It falls under B&B category due to the small number of units.

We had room 11 on the second floor. It was a queen with kitchenette. It had a window with lake view, BUT a large tree blocked much of the view.
