Rooms are as attractive and comfortable as promised, and the property simply impressive. Family amenities, like an enjoyable pool and fire-side s'mores, makes for a memorable experience for a night or three. As I have noted below, this is not a "value" resort -- the...More
Wonderful resort with everything you could imagine requiring. Very friendly, relaxed, great for families. So much to do. But it's also quiet and civilized and romantic if you're traveling as a couple. Gorgeous rustic lodge structure and decor, very cozy and comfy!
Plenty of room and things to do, we got to check out Camp Canoe which was a blast! We used the paddleboards and lunch at the grill. The kids loved the cookies when we arrived and then ran down to the heated pool. It was...More
Let me be clear, just reviewing the bar at the Whiteface Lodge. Wandered in, in search of an afternoon cocktail, only to be astonished by bartender Zachary Blair and his liquid chef artistry. We began with my wife whining she just wanted an ice coffee,...More

yes the hotel has very good food is pricey so what we would do is order pizza and wings from one of the local places they deliver it right to the room for the kids and then we would go have a nice dinner at Kanu....
last month we had dinner at Nicolas with two families and had six children all under the age of 10.... the food was absolutely delicious every meal is hand compared scrumptious pizzas were delicious too....
.. but they didn't have a dedicated kids menu so we just had to order them some shells with sauce.... a little pricey of a place to take children but worth it if you want a really good Italian food that's genuine..
plus being a small town its restaurants hve to be good... they're not going to last very long so the established businesses have been doing something right for many years.... they have to keep the locals in the tourists happy....
