My husband booked a three night stay with breakfast every morning in a Suite with kitchen and fireplace. The room was lovely. We had drinks and appetizers upon arrival which where very good.
Breakfast in morning was an average buffet that was not impressive. Selections...More
We (8) visited Whiteface Lodge as non-residents for coffees / drinks. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. We were given very comfortable seats at the log fire. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we...More
My wife and I just came back from a Sunday - Tuesday stay at Whiteface Lodge. This was our first time at the lodge and we had hoped there would be more snow on the ground for some wintertime activities (snowshoeing, cross country skiing), we...More
We visited for four nights for a family vacation. Unfortunately there was no snow so our winter wonderland vacation wasn't as winter-y as we'd hoped, but the resort was absolutely lovely. We were in a one-bedroom suite where our two teen daughters shared the pull-out...More

yes the hotel has very good food is pricey so what we would do is order pizza and wings from one of the local places they deliver it right to the room for the kids and then we would go have a nice dinner at Kanu....
last month we had dinner at Nicolas with two families and had six children all under the age of 10.... the food was absolutely delicious every meal is hand compared scrumptious pizzas were delicious too....
.. but they didn't have a dedicated kids menu so we just had to order them some shells with sauce.... a little pricey of a place to take children but worth it if you want a really good Italian food that's genuine..
plus being a small town its restaurants hve to be good... they're not going to last very long so the established businesses have been doing something right for many years.... they have to keep the locals in the tourists happy....
