Cobble Mtn Lodge is right on Rte 86. Good proximity to alot of the action. Depending on which portion of the Ironman you are referring to... It's about 1-2 miles to Mirror Lake (swim/run)... about 10 miles to Wilmington (bike start). Course goes right past lodge though.
As for cooktops... the "hotel rooms" do not, but many of the cabins have kitchenettes and more.
