I once again surprised my husband for his birthday. This year I took him to Lake Placid. It was absolutely gorgeous!!! We stayed in Birch, overlook view of the lake. Everyone made our stay unique, personal, and private. I loved that it only has 30 rooms and we weren’t constantly

This place deserves every one of its five stars, ten times over. This resort won me in the details and we will surely be back. We stayed two nights in the Saddleback, a one bedroom lake side cabin. We arrived early and were greeted with a glass of champagne and were able to

Luxury is found in every detail at Lake Placid Lodge. Lunch at the pub and breakfast at the restaurant were both outstanding. Our cabin was stocked with delicious snacks, plenty of wood for the fireplace, lovely toiletries and picturesque views of the lake. Staff was friendly

Once here you’ll understand why the wealthy of the golden age built “camps”. This is an experience. Built on a vantage point overlooking Lake Placid with views of Whiteface in the distance this feels like a world apart. We elected to stay in a cabin by the lake. “Cabin” is

We stayed in the first floor of the cabins this summer. The porch is covered and includes a table with chairs where we ate breakfast and chaise lounge chairs. We really enjoyed the cabin and the fireplaces every night. We could walk right out the door and to the lake in about 30 paces. Having said that, the best views are from the deck of the restaurant. I cannot comment on the rooms in the hotel. I can say that we absolutely loved the Lodge and the cabins! Frankly, you'll probably love the Lodge regardless of what room you choose. Goodluck!

There is not a sandy beach, only about 1-2' of sand, but there is a grass lawn up to the lake, and you can get into the lake from the beach or from the dock. My 6YO had fun playing in the sand and rocks any way. There is plenty of lake access, but no pool.

Is it Pet friendly?
Yes, it is pet friendly, however, I believe they put all people with pets in cabins, which are a bit more expensive than the Lodge rooms. So you will definitely spend more if you bring your pet.

No. But there are trails to walk on right on the property and mountain bikes available for use. I ran on the road and there's no traffic and rolling hills so you get a good workout.

"Cabins are very private and cozy. Love the fireplaces and view of the lake."
"of the 30+ rooms, about 1/2 of them are cabins. Lakeside rooms have covered porches."
