This hotel must've been awesome back in the days of the jet set. The architecture and decoration are great. However, it hasn't been maintained well and is now a shadow of its former glory. Sometimes you have only hot water and sometimes only cold water, but not both at the same time; and the water pressure is really low, so...

By the time you reach the cultural highlight of Ethiopia at Lalibela, you will probably have stayed in one or two other hotels, and by now you will be getting the picture. And probably wanting to go home early, dreaming of reliable hot water, toilets that flush, and management that actually cares about the clients. But you won't get any...

Here we had trouble with water, the water was brown and no hot shower, and also you have to wait for it to come on at 6pm so no water during the day. Rooms weren't that great but for the location, this is the best you will get, TV only has one channel in Amharic so don't bother. Not top...

The service was good, the staff was really friendly. The best thing of all is they are so honest. I left my...

Typical Ghion hotel with old dark rooms and minimally cleaned bathrooms. Nice restaurant and bar but the seven olives has better food. They don't have free shuttle service or wifi but not many hotels in lalibela do. Very helpful staff, nothing was beyond their assistance.

There aren't a lot of good hotels in Lalibela, but this is one of them. The staff is great, the place is clean. The room is a bit drab and lacks any sort of fan or A/C, but in general it's a nice place. There is even internet when it's working. The food we had there was actually much better...

Staff in restaurant were great, especially Jemanesh Mohamed who prepared popcorn and then the best coffee I have had the pleasure to drink. Her smile that evening and whenever she waited on us was outstanding. The accomodation, the food and the staff were excellent.

I have never seen such a fantastic service in any hotel I've ever been call it 5* or so. The management, the people working there are really humble and nice. They are real and the service is really awsome.
