We stayed for 1 night at Drotskys in May 17. We drove on the A35 from Ghanzi to Shakawe which is the road to hell- a 200km trip took us 4 hours- the road is supposedly tarred but has so many potholes it would have...More

Absolutely fantastic. The campsite was beautiful under trees. Clean and tidy. Ablution facilities were also clean and tidy. Boat trips for fishing were amazing. Friendly staff. We stayed for two nights and three days. Very pleasant experience.

We were welcomed back by Piet part of the family that own Drotsys. He organised a birding guide Ray who provided excellent knowledge during our boat trip on the river. Dinner was a tasty buffet. The chalets are large and comfortable and built on stilts.

No problem reaching Drotsky's in a 2WD. The road is tarred right to the turn-off and then a few 100m's of gravel road to reception. The area is very sandy in general but if you stick to the main roads you will not have a... More
