A well located stay close to the dunes. Game watching from the poolside. Dinner at the nice terrasse. Unfortunately in the evening only buffet; better a la carte service, also if small hunger. All in all a good valuue for money in such a remote place; also at our 2nd stay we were satisfied

Was nice to arrive at Namib Desert Lodge after a hot day at sossusvlei. Walking through reception to a green and cool garden was a big surprise! Nice lawns infront of your room was also a plus, keep it up! We had a good breakfast and the supper was realy good. Our room was clean and everything we needed.

Super stay at Namib Desert Lodge. Good food (variety to choose), super friendly and helpful staff, stunning location and best-ever sun-downer on the "dunes" . And spotting the rare endemic Dune Lark was a great surprise. Best of all - Nutella on the breakfast buffet!

Food very basic & poor choice when you consider there is nothing else around there for miles. Furthermore, there were no organised tours apart from walks around the site which was not what I was lead to believe when I booked... So not for me.

Snuggled along a line of red cliffs with a plain full of oryx, this lodge thrilled from first sight. Although a longish drive from the dunes, it was worth it, with such a dramatic location and the animals joining in with their own breakfast. Dinner was excellent, too. We'd definitely choose over other accommodation in the area.

The campsite for the Lodge is 6km from the Lodge - no problem. The check-in was friendly, helpful and professional. You have use of the Lodge pool and can eat in the restaurants. All good. Activities except for hiking required a minimum number of people and were not available to join in - noted in their brochure but still too...

A good location to visit and detect the 'old' dunes. Two swimming pools give chance to relax and cool down after a hot day. The food, however,is only average and in the evening served on a buffet.A lodge with 75 rooms!
