Beautiful location, in a rock valley. Bungalows are big and nicely furnited, but no air cond which is a big missing since temperature doesn't cool down even in winter nights. Restaurant is on a big terrace on the first floor with very nice view on the valley. Quality of the Buffet is quite poor and staff feels a bit unorganized,...

The rooms have been upgraded and this lodge is getting better all the time. Great meals as well. The only problem is the horrible road that is in a very bad condition. There have clearly not been a grader on this road for a long time. It is very badly corrugated. I feel that the roads department should take notice...

Spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and stunningly beautiful location close to the heritage sites. Evening meal provided an incredible range compared to government-run lodges, although caters specifically to German tastes. Comfortable bar overlooking the valley provided the best sundowner. Oddly enough, wifi worked perfectly once the coachload of British tourists left for the day. Make sure you leave time to relax...

We spent 2 nights here. The rooms were fine (we had front facing) though each has its own gas (?) supply for hot water and if the tank runs out you have to walk to reception to report (there are no phones in the room). Lovely views but the buffet supper is the worst kind of 1970s hotel food (...

It's a long, dusty, bumpy road to get there (understatement), but it was conveniently close to the Heritage site and approaching Reception for the first time is certainly a dramatic sight. I am not a fussy eater, but I have to agree that the dinner was incomprehensibly unsatisfying. There were lots of Germans who seemed to be eating a great...

We spent 3 nights here. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the bathroom adequate. The shower was ok but took considerable time to drain away which was a little tricky to avoid the bath mat being soaked! No tea/coffee facilities and a small 'fridge would have been a great advantage. The food was buffet style and ok,...

Seriously the worst ever. Which makes it even worse is that they look so weird at you when you come for a second plate. As if you're doing something you're not supposed to. Well thats true. Dont eat this xxxx.

Other reviewers seem to have been disappointed with Twyfelfontein, but we were lucky to have front facing rooms, which probably makes a big difference. The main building has a good bar area, blankets provided for chilly evenings (we needed them), and the restaurant is huge. The meals are all buffet, and there was a good choice, although on our second...

Beautiful setting, the buildings thatched and unobtrusive, wonderful colours on the surrounding rocks at sunset. Chalets comfortable but no coffee/tea facilities – if one private lodge can provide a cafetiere, why can't they all! Good buffet dinner and breakfast. Wi fi only in reception and bar and very slow connection. Difficult to find a plug for my adaptor so battery...

Compared to all other lodges we have been on our trip in Namiba this one was the worst. Service bad, rooms are bad equiped, no safe, no coffee maker. I could not even get a snack for lunch, the only option was a full buffet.
