This place is really amazing. 10 Luxuary tents on the montains in the middle of desert. 30min from the main road. The whole team was so nice with everybody. We all eat together and share our day experience. Good food and wine. One evening we had dinner outside the camp under the stars. Highly recommended

Damaraland Camp is a very friendly place to stay : welcome and good bye serenade by the staff (and songs during dinner). Everybody eats together at a large table where friendships are made. Extremely helpfull staff, very nice eco-accomodations (no plug in's in the room but available at the office) and good cuisine and wines. This small scale lodge offers...

It is a long and rocky drive to this camp. It is deemed as luxury and we were needing some luxury by the time we arrived after a 6 hour dusty drive. We were not disappointed. We were met with friendly smiles, singing, cold wet cloths and a cold drink. We stayed for 3 nights and found all the staff...

I made a booking for 2 tents (4 people) and paid early in August 2016 already (8 ½ months prior to the trip). I requested 2 specific tent numbers and even had these confirmed. Four weeks prior to the trip, I routinely inquired through my local booking agent if the tent numbers were still in order. I subsequently received the...

Rustic camp situated in a valley between hills. Our room was a nicely appointed tented structure with thatched roof. The bed sits on a raised platform and the bathroom is large with open shower and double sink. The family quad unit consists of two separate tents sharing a communal deck. Close enough to the kids but also nice for a...

Wonderful warm welcome as we arrived after our dusty road trip. Our guide, Chris was informative and showed us wonderful sightings of the desert adapted elephants and the highlight was seeing four black rhinos. Early morning bush breakfast and dinner in the boma with the staff singing was very memorable. The staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic.

We stayed at DMC for 3 nights on a self-drive trip through Namibia in November 2015 (so this review is long overdue!). The Huab riverbed and the so-called Desolation Valley down the camp are stunningly beautiful – and much less “desolate” than may think. On our first day, we had some fantastic sightings of desert-adapted elephant and other wildlife along...

My first words when we rounded the corner of the bumpy road to see the camp were 'who on earth thought to be a camp here'. It is remote but a wonderful place. This camp was the 'stay of a lifetime' and nothing prepared us for what we arrived to stay in for 2 nights.
