We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2014 and loved everything about it. Isabelle and Marcel and all the staff were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful, making our stay so relaxing and memorable. They offer a pick-up/drop-off service from Vilankulo, which is necessary unless you have your own 4x4 vehicle. They really have thought of everything from comfy hammocks...

We stayed here for a week in September, and would early have stayed for longer if we could. The area is beautiful and secluded, the huts nice and clean, and the food is fabulous. Both the staff and owners are friendly, helpful and professional and were easy to ask for help or assistance. We stayed at a lot of different...

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay near Vilankulo and Bazaruto, if you appreciate attention to details, respectful tourism projects, nice food, close and helpful owners... then you will love Marimba. Isabelle and Marcel will make you feel at home, a home that is a small bit of paradise. And all at a fair price. Thank you!...

Thank you very much for your positive review! First of all, we are very sorry about your negative experience on that day and wish this didn't happen and you could have enjoyed your day as you've deserved it!!! We took your feedback about the island trip provider very seriously and talked it back with them having made our consequences from...

This has been the most beautiful place where we have been during our trip in the south of mozambique, not only for the natural spot, but in terms of accomodation. Marcelo and Isabelle are the two owners, they are from switzerland but they live in vilanculos since 4 years. They built up a wonderful place: curated in every details, cute...

Thanks so much for your great review! Clean accommodation and facilities is one of our highest demands to ourselves and therefore we are glad you are reviewing positively! You have described it right, day trips to Bazaruto Island incl snorkeling is possible from Marimba (pick up and drop off at our beach) but our diving guests we recommend staying a...

This place gives value for money like nowhere else I've ever been! You are picked up at the airport by the host and you are taken care of like you're family for your whole stay. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - everything is served personally for you, and we enjoyed every bit of it! The place is clean, quiet, friendly and 100%...

thank you very much for your review! We are very happy you had such a pleasant stay with us! You are right, temperatures in summer can be much higher. Our rooms have no air conditioning but instead a natural air circulation system that makes them cooling down even in hot summer days!! We would love to welcome you again at...

Isobelle and Marcel were the most wonderful hosts!! They have put so much into this place to make it the most magical retreat on the coast of Mozambique. We were a group of 6, travelling by 4x4. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was beautifully done, with mosquito nets and deck chairs underneath. The drive to Marimba is...

I truly enjoyed the short but lovely time we spent at Marimba. Relaxed atmosphere, super-friendly people and charming set-up with huts on stilts, bonfire, hammock and lazy holiday activities like watching the sunset, gazing the stars, a beach walk, or a good read, or a nice meal or two in the restaurant and sitting area. Even though our stay at...

This is a very beautiful place I loved it, the rooms are treehouse like, so pretty and clean, they have bon fires, the beach is nice but you cant really swim during the day because the high ride is only at night and early mornings. Thank you very much for your review, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! Unfortunately you've been with us during a time we've only had high tide in early mornings and evenings. We stayed three nights, and would have loved to stay longer. The isolated location and lack of electricity were big plusses to us (there is a generator at limited times, mostly early evening, to charge stuff). The beach was quiet and beautiful, and the path there is through untouched indigenous bush. A lovely (short) walk. The rooms are awesome and...

Thanks very much for this great review! We are always very pleased when our guests emphasize the advantages of limited electricity as this is also part of the beauty of living in such a remote and pristine area and is less important than many people think! please give our best to our lovely man too!! kind regards, Isabelle
