Staying at Marimba will be a highlight on your holiday. The property ist more than beautiful and has an extraordinary vibe. The evening bonfires are best to end your day with. Living in the mozambiquen bush for at leat 1-2 nights at marimba is a must - even on a backpackers budget. Try the bush walk and the boat trips....

Marimba is a unique eco-friendly resort, built and managed in a joint venture with the local community. As it is located practically in the middle of nowhere, it's a fantastic place to just kick back and relax. Sadly we didn't get to meet the managers, but were extremely well taken care of by Victor and the rest of the crew....

We stayed here for 3 nights after a few nights in Vilanculo. It's a fantastically relaxed place with fantastic staff, accommodation, food and animals! We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves and spent a lot of time with Victor (who was super helpful). We enjoyed some fantastic meals and a very informative nature walk. We can't recommend...

Absolutely wonderful to stay here. We can't recommend it enough! Creatively built, with all the comforts you need. The staff is very attentive and helpful, the food good and the atmosphere amazing. Waking up to the sound of birds and going to sleep under an enormous star-filled sky, can't get much better than that. We stayed 4 nights but would...

I spent one week at the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 at Marimba and we really loved this place! Amazing location, quiet rooms, charming hosts, great guests, delicious food, sweet activities, intelligent way of involving local communities. Marimba is probably one of the best place I have been to in my numerous travels around the world! I hope...

We were guests at Marimba just for two nights last August, and we felt immediately like at home. Marimba staff is a lovely family... Marcel picked us up at the airport waiting for us with a big smile, Victor welcomed us warmly too and was really kind. Unfortunately we couldn't meet Isabelle. The location is perfect, you're into the wild...you...

We stayed at Marimba for 4 nights with a friend. It's a bit far away from the town of Vilanculo (45 minutes by 4x4 drive - transfer organized usually by Marimba), but the thing is there is actually not much at all at Vilanculo itself. So you're much better off staying at Marimba which is a very nice place. Moreover...

The original booking was just for 2 nights, we decided then to stay a couple of more days, as there is really something magic about Marimba. First of all you feel at home. Marcel is a brilliant host, and with Victor and the entire staff you feel like never leaving the place. Since the pick up at the airport, Victor...

Mozambique accommodation can be pretty hit or miss - not so at Marimba. I cannot stress enough that if you want to visit Bazuroto and Vilankulos this is quite simply the best place to stay. Marcel and Victor are the perfect hosts. Fresh food, fires, clear skies and good vibes. Boat trips from there were easy. The place is spotless...
