arrived there with my friiend. we booked a twin room which wasn´t prepared for us. staff very unfriendly. the breakfast. included, was just eggs on toast. bad coffee. the shower didn´t work and the room was dirty. i´m sure the place has seen better days, unfortunately i can´t recommend it.

Very quite place to take some rest. No locals coming to offer you all kinds of 'very-nice-stuff'. And camping on the beach is just perfect here. The food could be better, they could really improve by simply putting a nice Beefburger on the menu for a nice price instead of having fish and steak and some too expensive deserts and starters. But you really have to come for camping and the very nice view, sitting areas in the shade with nice chairs and the small swimming pool. I've been here 2 times now and will come more often.

We were on the 2019 Addition of the Put Foot Rally and headed to Monkey bay from Lilongwe. We were Travelling with BMW 1200 GS Motorbikes and were at the end of a 253 Km stage day in the saddle. Tired and hungry my partner leads us to a place he knew about, that I believed to be out of this world. Navigating our way through the through the sandy potholed road, I was wondering where on earth is, he is taking me, since what he described does not fit the profile of the road leading to the place. I was astounded by the Surprise when heaven opened, and we rode into Chembe Eagles Nest. It’s that feeling of discovering an Oasis. It’s the feel of an idyllic, Island resort, and it does not differ much. Although we stayed in tents, the service the food and the Ablution facilities was great. We went on a Boat cruise to the Island where we could Snorkel and see beautifully coloured tropical like fish. Were entertained by the Boat crew on traditional food from the Lake. This is a must do for everybody. An experience not to be missed. I have already booked to stay in one of the Chalets next year. I will be back for more.

We spent a couple of nights here either side of our trip to Domwe Island. We were pretty much the only guests there. We camped and had a great view of the lake. The toilets/showers were very clean. There was also 24 hour security. The beach is private as there is a fence each side of the beach. Water in this part of the lake is not clean in my opinion, but there is a clean swimming pool and shaded thatch lapas at the top of the beach. Food and service were very good.

Perfect way to end our stay in Malawi! Rooms comfy (and ac!), staff so very helpful. Felt no need to leave the guest house, so relaxing! Organized a boat trip for us at last minute as we only had one day left. Finally the pool, what a great place for a sunset drink!
